I heard on the tv earlier (This Morning so not an actual news programme) that Wales have said their tourism will be open for people from other parts of the UK after 12th April (same as England). Surely she will be backed into a corner if all the tourism money is going to everywhere apart from Scotland?

Dinnafashyersel · 26/02/2021 15:24

Just had to google French Health Minister. My DH is only half French but has a built in year round tan.

OldRailer · 26/02/2021 15:27

It's only the good lookers who can't roll up their sleeve. There was another show off but can't recall where he was!

WaxOnFeckOff · 26/02/2021 15:28

The vast majority of the "cases" logged are in the working age population so hopefully as we get further down the age groups the drop gets more and more dramatic.

Shallow sidenote- I’ve been sent a link by a friend, it seems many people were blushing at the French Health Minister receiving his vaccine and he’s gained ‘heartthrob status’ across Twitter🤣

I say again, I’m not sure our offerings would cause the same stir!

OldRailer · 26/02/2021 15:35

I was going to post a really sarcastic comment about Derek McKay.

But I'll say Salmond now getting stuck into Crown Office and talking parliamentary privilege.

Hope so Wax. I hesitate to suggest it might be 'exciting' to watch cases tumble but that's what our lives have come to unfortunately Grin
hilbil21 · 26/02/2021 15:52

@GirlLovesWorld I'm not sure if exciting is the word but I certainly get joy from seeing our numbers here in Argyll and Bute dropping significantly. We are at 20 per 100000. "Tier 1"Smile

GirlLovesWorld · 26/02/2021 15:54

That's great!

Fife was at about 50 a few weeks ago then went up to 73 or so, and is now dropping again.

It's crazy that 30-40 cases a day in a population of 375,000 is considered worrying!

hilbil21 · 26/02/2021 15:56

I'm just wondering if things keep dropping and we are at 20 just now what it will be by end of April. I have some hope.

hilbil21 · 26/02/2021 15:58

We have had 2 days this week we have had 0 cases. Population is only about 85000 though I think.

Does anyone know where the up to date information about vaccination stats by health board is? Have been on traveling tabby but that bit hasn't been updated for a while. Wanting to find out if Edinburgh was doing any better - languishing at the bottom of the table but data seems to be from 14th February.

WaxOnFeckOff · 26/02/2021 16:05

Given how low the numbers were last year, worryingly (tiers wise - not generally worried) Stirling hasn't been out of the red since Christmas. I hope that the figures in this area (Falkirk and Clacks too) drop soon and those of Lanarkshire as well as our health service in the Forth Valley is the back-up for Lanarkshire. Otherwise, we are going to end up not getting out of lockdown.

yes, I saw that, it says it gets updated every wednesday so should be info up to 21st I think - Stirling not far above you.
frasersmummy · 26/02/2021 16:08

Where do I find the no. Per 100,000 and im. Wondering why we are looking at this number instead of hospital admissions which are tumbling.

GirlLovesWorld · 26/02/2021 16:09

It's on the public tableau dashboard as of today @Ifyourefeelingsinister ( one of my fave songs Smile)

That's why it's not been updated on TT I think; they held the info they usually produce each Wednesday until today, then it'll be daily from now on. Or so I believe.

Fifes % doubled in a few weeks so I'm feeling a bit more hopeful. Everyone in my family has now been jabbed except me!

Yes I totally agree re the numbers

It's on here:

public.tableau.com/profile/phs.covid.19#!/vizhome/COVID-19DailyDashboard_15960160643010/Overview

Look at the daily update, if you scroll down to the chart, you can alter it from health board to council area and it will give you the figures you are looking for.

WaxOnFeckOff · 26/02/2021 16:15

Oops, i shouldn't type so much :o

Bytheloch · 26/02/2021 16:17

So today, JL standing in for NS (who probably spent today just doing her online food order, bit of dusting, not much else going on...) said at the covid briefing that he disagreed with the claims yesterday from epidemiologist Professor Mark Woolhouse that Scotland really weren’t close to eliminating the virus last summer.

Oh Jason, take a day off yourself pal, you really do need one.

Ifyourefeelingsinister · 26/02/2021 16:19

Ah thanks Girl, and for the B&S recognition!

That's good to see that Lothian have now reached 28.5% - Eilean Siar still surging ahead.

OldRailer · 26/02/2021 16:22

I had missed that from Woolhouse.

I have my suspicions about that narrative.

Bytheloch · 26/02/2021 16:26

Well Wales have said today they’re ‘open’ from April 12th, same day as England to everyone across the U.K. so, your move NS...

AgentCooper · 26/02/2021 16:30

God, I hope she backtracks and goes with 12 April the same as England and Wales but I doubt it.

WaxOnFeckOff · 26/02/2021 16:31

Ha, the way it's going, the rest of the UK will be travelling about on their holidays and I still won't be allowed to go to a self catering apartment in Edinburgh (lweek after school holidays) as it won't be open and i won't be allowed to travel there - and when I'm there there will be no hospitality open to go for a meal etc
