@Fandangoes

can somebody please tell Nicola that 'doze' is a nap!
Oh god yes this drives me nuts
Bytheloch · 23/02/2021 14:31

From that you can conclude that high schools not back until after Easter. It wasn’t explicitly said, but do the math.

Scottishskifun · 23/02/2021 14:31

Oh my god I'm actually agreeing with a Tory leader! Confused Rd is right it's a holding statement, no details past April, no info on self catering no info on aim to get rid of council or English/scottish travel restrictions.

I'm done believing this crap!

dancemom · 23/02/2021 14:31

From April 5th stay at home order lifted, remainder of pupils to return full time, worship and some limited retail can open. Also 6 people from 2 households can meet outside.

WannaCapybara · 23/02/2021 14:32

I would be pretty happy with both types of 'doze' right now Grin

dancemom · 23/02/2021 14:32

From 27 April return to levels with some areas being in level 3 with enhancements with gyms, shops and hairdressers returning.

OP posts:
theotherfossilsister · 23/02/2021 14:33

ah sorry @WannaCapybara

I think, if I didn't mishear, that two households of up four people total will be allowed to meet outside from March 15th, which will make a real difference to mental health, and mean we can go and see my partner's parents in their garden, things like that, or meet up with friends who have new babies in the park.

Absofruitly · 23/02/2021 14:33

5th April for Secondary pupils to go back, but this is Easter Monday. The schools don't go back until w/c 19-Apr. Does she mean 19th, or is the Easter school holiday being cut severely short?

rookiemere · 23/02/2021 14:34

@IsurviveonCoffeeandWinein2021 yes I don't understand the 5th April date I mean it's blindingly obvious that no schools are in Easter Monday Hmm

Coconut80 · 23/02/2021 14:34

Ruth Davidson is spot on it is a holding document for 2 months with the hope of tier 3 in 2 months ffs. Brutally depressing I feel she has given no real meaty details just prolonging the agony. England at least has specifics. So pissed off

WouldBeGood · 23/02/2021 14:34

With the rest of the stuff announced the week before the election.....🧐

WannaCapybara · 23/02/2021 14:35

Oh cool thank you! I'm pretty happy with that. Kids at school and a wee bit of outdoors socialisation, I think that's not so bad.

I think it's a bit unrealistic to be looking for her to provide dates on things much further out, given that they've said they want to do things in three-week cycles.

TeenTraumaTrials · 23/02/2021 14:35

So nothing about meeting people inside. It's a non-statement.

And WTF, remainder of school pupils can return full time on 5th April - ON THE FIRST MONDAY OF THE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS - so in reality not until the 19th. How the hell are Nationals/Highers/AH going to be assessed in that case.

I'm so so beyond all of this now

Jackie Baillie asking about suppression vs elimination - interested to hear the answer

OldRailer · 23/02/2021 14:35

@IsurviveonCoffeeandWinein2021 you've saved my blood pressure looking into this further.
I'm really just looking at disconnecting from the local news cycle now.

WouldBeGood · 23/02/2021 14:35

Is that all secondary pupils?

Bytheloch · 23/02/2021 14:36

@theotherfossilsister

ah sorry *@WannaCapybara*

I think, if I didn't mishear, that two households of up four people total will be allowed to meet outside from March 15th, which will make a real difference to mental health, and mean we can go and see my partner's parents in their garden, things like that, or meet up with friends who have new babies in the park.

No, you can only do gardens when the level adjusts...the end of April if you all behave.
IsurviveonCoffeeandWinein2021 · 23/02/2021 14:36

@OldRailer glad I could help. I am utterly disgusted with this today.

Rae36 · 23/02/2021 14:37

I just put my head in my hands and cried when she said primary kids could go back on 15th March. I don't think I've admitted to myself, let alone anyone else, how awful having him at home all this time has been.

I can't believe I'm so broken by having my 9 yr old at home that I don't care right now how long I have to wait for the other stuff. I am so pathetically grateful for this tiny crumb from the great master's table, I am ashamed of myself.

theotherfossilsister · 23/02/2021 14:37

@Bytheloch damnitt, but garden's are surely safer than crowded parks?

fluffyugg · 23/02/2021 14:38

Bit vague on the secondary schools, did she not say something about setting out plans or something? Not sure it's all pupils in but could be wrong. I get the cautious approach but going into level 3 in 2 months time...what's that all about?!

MintPI · 23/02/2021 14:38

@WouldBeGood

With the rest of the stuff announced the week before the election.....🧐
Yup FREEDOM announcements just before election Hmm

I started crying though when she said about the rest of primary going back on 15th. It's becoming harder and harder.

Bytheloch · 23/02/2021 14:38
@Bytheloch damnitt, but garden's are surely safer than crowded parks?
Well, exactly.

fluffyugg · 23/02/2021 14:39

Level 3 is don't leave your local authority, isn't it? 😫

MintPI · 23/02/2021 14:39

So much for it 'broadly' following England. What was said just there bears almost no resemblance.

Return to levels. FFS

MintPI · 23/02/2021 14:39

Are swimming pools open in level 3? Weave been in lockdown for so long I've lost track
