Speechless and disgusted. Is it thoughtlessness? Arrogance? Panic?

I actually don't think resignation would be good enough. She needs sacked and charged.

OP posts:

@WaxOnFeckOff

She sat on information about allegations of a sexual nature against the former first minister for 3 days then lied about it. I don't understand why you think that can be defended?
Sturgeon or Salmond could commit the worst crimes imagineable , live on prime time TV and the faithful wouldn't condemn it.

Scary.

MumofHunter · 12/10/2020 12:57

Come on, that's not true. Anyone standing up for Ferrier? On here or in the SNP? Nope. She did wrong. That's why. Quite unfair to say what you've just said.

ScaramoucheFandango · 12/10/2020 13:00

But the post wasn't referencing Ferrier.Confused

Indeed it wasn't. Let's not let facts get in the way though.
ScaramoucheFandango · 12/10/2020 13:10

It's a Pavlovian response perhaps.

Scotslassie1 · 12/10/2020 13:26

Total hyperbole Brazenly.

PimlicoJo · 14/10/2020 13:17

Has this utterly disgusting woman not resigned yet? I can't believe this utterly appalling behaviour is not still headline media. It should be on every news bulletin until she resigns. She is beneath contempt.

TheOneWhoWalksInTheSun · 14/10/2020 13:32

Did she not visit a church too?!

Arkadia · 14/10/2020 14:06

No, she hasn't resigned. In fact she is back at work having voted just yesterday (albeit by proxy using a plaid MP who is under Investigation for assault...)

BlueThistles · 14/10/2020 16:17

you cannot be serious 😱 what on earth .....

Arkadia · 14/10/2020 16:20

@BlueThistles, you couldn't make it up, huh?

PimlicoJo · 14/10/2020 16:24

Blimey, you couldn't make it up. These people have no shame.

BlueThistles · 14/10/2020 22:36

I agree... I wish there was something that could be done about it, it's just so wrong.

Arkadia · 14/10/2020 23:12

This is an interesting read
order-order.com/2020/10/13/snp-tried-to-contain-ferrier-story/
I wonder if true in its entirety.

Arkadia · 14/10/2020 23:20

So it does seem it is true. The SNP did know the day before and when the failed to "contain' the story they left the woman to "hang out to dry". This is according to her, but it doesn't look as if she's been contradicted.
Oh dear, when you thought things could look any worse. I should have read the article in the Sun when it came out, but I didn't think it would be that interesting.

Scotslassie1 · 15/10/2020 06:55

As much as it pains me to read an article in the sun.. she was told to inform the police and the standards commission ASAP. And whip removed. Boo fecking hoo. She deserved it. The SNP did what they should have.

Arkadia · 15/10/2020 08:16

Yes, but the timeline is important... Who knew what and when.

Thistlegirl4 · 15/10/2020 15:29

Latest now are the police are letting her off. Beggars belief, so does this mean we can do whatever we want and it's fine. So sick of this. Rules for one and rules for the rest of us, who have to put up with their incompetence.

throwingawaymyshot · 15/10/2020 15:32

It's interesting that the self isolation restrictions weren't in place so they say so could she use this to appeal her losing the whip or anything?

BlueThistles · 15/10/2020 16:08

Breaking News

MP Margaret Ferrier will face no further action by the Metropolitan police for travelling from London to Scotland by train knowing she had coronavirus.

derxa · 15/10/2020 16:18

She will be forever known as Margaret Covid and she has to deal with her own plummeting reputation. Perhaps that is justice. The people of Rutherglen and Hamilton won't hesitate to let her know their opinion of her.

PimlicoJo · 15/10/2020 17:06

Being known as Margaret Covid isn't justice in my book. This decision is disgraceful and it's absolutely no surprise that many of the general public are now ignoring the restrictions when this woman knowingly travelled after testing positive with Covid yet she supposedly hadn't done anything wrong.

prettybird · 15/10/2020 17:19

It didn't surprise me, unfortunately Sad - but not because of her status as a politician but because after hearing that the England (?) footballers weren't going to be prosecuted for a similar infraction by the Met because "it didn't prosecute after the event" Hmm - essentially saying that unless they caught someone in the act of flouting the law they wouldn't take it further Confused, I knew she'd "get away with it" Angry

So essentially anyone positive can get away with it as long as they don't get caught at the time Angry

titsbumfannythelot · 15/10/2020 18:14

What a bloody disgrace.

WaxOnFeckOff · 15/10/2020 18:20

Fucks sake, it makes me want to charter a coach to blackpool
