Right, at work now!
Well, I didn't laugh as I thought it might encourage him, I kind of stopped in my tracks and asked myself if I'd heard correctly, but when he came out with more 'goshes' and the like, I (cringe, cringe) stoped him talking by doing something to keep him occupied!
I thought the sooner we get this cone then the "cripes" will stop. God, that sounds awful!
He does use these words in other situations, I've only just noticed after the boudoir utterances, there's a lot of 'sugars' and 'gosh' in fact, I don't think I've heard him swear at all...
He talks about his mother, no exagerration, all the time. No matter what we're talking about... e.g. he said he'd take me for dinner, I said 'ohh, to a nice little restaurant' and he said: "Well, I take my mother to x, y and z, so probably we'll go there...' and another time we were in bd on a Sunday morning, when he started telling me about (this is really bad), when he bought his house, his mother was asking him why he was buying a double bed, not a single one...
Umm, this doesn't bode well at all, does it!
She is mentioned in just about everything, in all situations, I've not met her, nor do I wish to - previous overbearing MIL is immediately springing to mind!
Daisy - nope, his name doesn't begin with a J - have you met a similar sort here - what did you do?!
I like the Prince Charles analagy - frightningly close to the mark. Oh dear.
Sorry, that was a really long reply, it's jsut so good to talk about it!
FPlease help me, I really don't know what to do - will he snap out of it, or is he going to make me into his mother?
