Is it acceptable for a married man to call on a single woman after the pub shuts?

It was a cosy 4some, so hardly a large group

Yes lots of orgies go on round my way after pub closes

I am far from young lol (wish i wasnt) but i do know from experience, and being single i do get out quite a lot, when the pub closes the married men generally go home to their dw's, while their single friends usually go back to single womens houses for coffee, in group or whatever. IME if married men go back for coffee invites, its usually because they are up for a bit of after hours fun.

I trust my dh.

I have never been given any reson to suspect he is not faithful in 17 yrs of marriage.

If he went, as a foursome, to a single womans house, and the other 2 were also single, I would question my marriage.

End of.

There has been lots of speculation about the state of this blokes marriage, whether he has dc etc. We know virtually nothing, including whether or not he is a serial shagger.

I will say again, it is naive to get mixed up in this scenario. You purists may not like it, but society as it is puts sexual connotations on late-night invites back for coffee. That is the way it is.

CliffRichardSucksEggsInHell · 08/12/2008 16:45

Noooooooo, you're not uptight at all!

You did nothing wrong, but I don't think it's a great idea to invite men back whom you hardly know. If they are friends, as others have said, platonic friendships are fine. But they weren't really friends were they?

Therein lies the difference.

AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 08/12/2008 16:47

Harman, out of interest, did he try to jump you?

Why are you questionning this? It must have made you feel uncomfortable in some way?

To look at your decorations??? , erm, were they impressed then?

To me a friend is someone I have shared experiences with. I wouldn't call work colleagues friends as I don't know them outside of work. People who make time for me, who have things in common with me and of course, who I can trust.

AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 08/12/2008 16:50

look at xmas decorations????????

fuck me, I've heard it all now

SixSpotBurnet · 08/12/2008 16:50

beanieb · 08/12/2008 16:56

oh jesus! Just read all the first posts by the OP and clearly she is not wanting any kind of affair with this man. I would say it's perfectly acceptable for him to spend time in teh company of other women even if his wife is waiting at home.

it's 2008!
