I've just received a text from MIL which I think was meant for DH and it has upset me.

The message said 'Looking forward to Sunday, I'll pick you and DGD up at 1.30pm for X's christening, remember not to mention it to DW'
DH has told me that he is going to take DD out for a few hours on Saturday to give me some time to myself, but it looks like he is going to his family members christening and I am not invited.
I didn't know I had upset anyone. DD was christed 6 months ago now and all of his family were invited and his cousin is DD godmother.
I am really upset. I don't know if I should mention it to him or hust leave it.

I'm positive she isn't... but I really hope she is going to come back and tell us what's going on cos I hate it when i'm watching a thread and I never get to find out the outcome.

I know what you mean, Icecreamsoda. Why is the text so explicit? Surely, you'd just say: I'll pick you up at X o'clock; keep mum" or something. Not "for the christening" and "don't tell DW".

If the mil had intended to send the text to the husband, then why would she need to remind him not to mention it. That doesn't make any sense at all.

I think shes prob still talking or shes just so upset at the moment that she cant come to the comp. If there is major isssues to be dealt with she cant really pop on MN to let us know whats going on. Mores the pity.
