Have a fab Christmas Fubsy, c u next year [fsmile}.

McD, good luck with filing - the attention sounds good.

I'm still not over this bug - wondering if I should see the doctor for some antibios in case my ear packs up over Christmas. I don't want to spend the hols in agony and I'm still bunged up and deaf. DP not much better either. But we're planning to drown our sorrows with some sparkly in a minute. We went to see Stereophonics last night, but poor DP found the noise and vibrations made him feel sick so he left early and I didn't enjoy it quite as much as I'd hoped (deaf in one ear didn't help) - but he said it was a nice birthday present anyhow. DD is happily sporting her band t-shirt. She says she can now walk around with a mini-Kelly Jones plastered to her chest . Lovely!

Oh, and mad sad SIL was released to the arms of her sad bad hubby. So it goes on, till the next time . At least DP is being ok for now (apart from kicking the front door at 2am last night because the lock wouldn't turn when we tried to lock up for the night). It didn't help the peace of the house and god knows what the neighbours thought, but it worked! We had no street lights over the weekend so didn't fancy leaving the door with easy access for the local hoods to creep in under cover of the Stygian gloom.

Hi everyone

Just popped in to say hello and wish you all a very happy Christmas. Also to let you know that although I am no longer posting I haven't forgotten you and still think of you.

So, have a lovely Christmas girls and, if I don't 'see' you before I wish each and every one of you a very happy and peaceful New Year. You deserve it!

Lots of Love xxx

ladylush · 22/12/2008 09:49

Nice to hear from you TFM. Hope you have a lovely Christmas and New Year

Same for everyone else (in case I don't post again before xmas). Off with ds this week so am sure he will keep me busy.

Baffy · 22/12/2008 10:30

Thanks LL. Makes sense now. xx

Good to hear from you TFM, have been wondering how you are but didn't want to text and pester you. Hope you have a fantastic Christmas too xx

Has anyone heard from PC lately?

Macd that's great news Any more info?!

I feel fine about everything actually. When you no longer love someone in that way, you don't feel the same sadness at losing them. I actually feel more sad for him, as he will be the one losing out. I am so excited for Christmas with my gorgeous little boy. And then 2009 with my new arrival Things are looking up

macdoodle · 22/12/2008 13:27

have a constant smile on my face if that helps early days
but boy my self esteem has shot up leaps and bounds
Dont like to say more her as "someone"is spying on me online - may update on the FB group!
]Merry merry xmas to all of you and hoping that next year will mark a fresh start for some of us and good happy year for those who dont need it!
Love to my teabags those here, those lurking and those absent

Tanee58 · 22/12/2008 14:12

That's fantastic, McD - so - it'll be a merry Christmas for you then? .

And a Merry Christmas to all the rest of the teabags - God bless us, everyone! Here's to another year of our friendship and support.

And a special, special hug to TFM - you know why !

ginnny · 22/12/2008 22:08

Happy Christmas Teabags!!!
Is this the second Christmas we've all been on here or the third?? I've lost count.
Great to see you TFM, its very comforting knowing you are lurking on here and keeping an eye on us all from afar.
MacD about bloody time!!! You go girl!!
Baffy I hope you and ds (and lo) have a great Christmas and H gets all he deserves in his life too. I have a feeling he will end up very lost and lonely ,
Things here are really good - DS's birthday yesterday was great, I can't believe my baby boy is 9 already - he just gets more gorgeous every year and I'm so proud of him and ds2.
Christmas is always a bit of a dodgy time for dp (too much alcohol about to tempt him), but we've worked out a couple of days when he can go out with his friends and apart from that he's promised to be good, and I feel like I can trust him more now, so we'll see how it goes.
Anyway - hope you all have a good time and HERE'S TO THE TEABAGS!!!

Happy Christmas Ginnny, and happy birthday to DS1. This is my 2nd Teabag Christmas, but the rest of you have been together longer.

Really glad to hear things with your DP are still going well. He certainly deserves to have a couple of nights with the boys as a reward . Mine's still on two bottles a night, but I have coping strategies now so if I see the signs of an 'episode' coming on, I can try to handle it so as to minimise the damage. And he's been quite sweet lately (flu and the buildup to Christmas help, plus he has a job to go to in between acting - the unemployment last year was a huge pressure).

Baffy · 23/12/2008 15:58

Glad everyone's ok. You especially macd!

Hope those partners who like the alcohol remember what's most important to them over the festive period! Looks like they will. I have every confidence

Just in case I don't manage to get back on

MERRY CHRISTMAS!...

...to each and every one of you and thank you for everything! I wouldn't have got through this year without you!

Will try to pop back on but if not, hope you all have a lovely Christmas and I will 'see' you soon!

xx

Tanee58 · 23/12/2008 16:07

Sounds fantastic Dior

Totally agree Tanee, lovely to see all the smiley faces!

Sugar - fantastic to see you. I often think about you. Have a lovely Christmas xxxx

I'm with you TFM Definitely can't wait to see ds's face, but this year is about me! And it's going to be the best year in a long time!

Guess what as well, I met up with my best friend last night (best friend in the whole world and she's brill) to swap presents before the madness of Christmas sets in. I told her my news and guess what - she's pregnant too!! She also has a ds already. And she's due 6 days before me!

theladysnowlush · 24/12/2008 11:37

That's great news Baffy - maternity leave company Also great for the babies.

I've upset a few people on a thread I started - totally unintended! Had a few glasses of Cava last night and was tired, so OP not as sensitive as it could've been iyswim. Oh dear

TimeForMe · 24/12/2008 12:07

Actually LL, I don't think your thread was insensitive at all, more the way it was interpreted. Don't worry about it, things are a bit fraught on here at the moment

Anyway, FWIW, my theory on your topic is, from an 'older' womans point of view, once the child bearing years are over/coming to an end the libido drops as a natural course. The wet patch isn't so much fun if there's nothing to aim for

macdamiforgotitsxmas · 24/12/2008 15:08

Hi all mac here just a quick pop in to wish you all the very best for xmas and 2009!
And thank you all for being there for me through the very very worst of times I am not sure I would have got through without you all!
Things are starting to look up and I am feeling a bit like the old me that I knew was in there somewhere and am aso feeling a bit special at the moment
I know I have a lot to come and it is not going to be easy but I think I am finallyr ready to do it and start afresh
Thank you all love and hugs and strength to us all

theladysnowlush · 24/12/2008 20:00

Thanks for your support mcd and tfm
I do find it annoying that our libido seems so much more conditional and sometimes transient than it is for men. TFM - one of the ladies on my thread said she was hoping HRT would help............?
Hope you all have a fantastic christmas

TimeForMe · 24/12/2008 21:58

LL, I'm finding Agnus Cactus a BIG help, it's also known for it's fertility properties, ideal if you are trying to conceive Give it a google and be amazed!

Fantastic for you TFM and thanks for the tip Merry Xmas

theladysnowlush · 25/12/2008 23:21

Hey McD - don't be shy

TimeForMe · 25/12/2008 23:29

you are welcome. Merry Christmas to you too. Hope you had a lovely day.

PS, if you are planning to try the Agnus Cactus the advice is to stop using as soon as you suspect you are pregnant. Have fun!
