MrsAga · 14/10/2026 16:06

I thought we’d peaked with There We Are Then & twattoo. You keep excelling yourself 😉

PinkEasterbunny · 14/10/2026 16:14

I will never look at a cocktail sausage in the same way again!

REP22 · 14/10/2026 16:21

All power to you @mummy917 - thank you for the new thread.

And I'll bet it's a Quorn cocktail sausage at that (no discernible useful meat)... 😉

anotheruser124 · 14/10/2026 16:31

Love the new thread title 😂

Lifecircle · 14/10/2026 16:34

Lovely! I worry when you don't update.

PetulaGordeno · 14/10/2026 16:40

Here we are then!

Jaichangecentfoisdenom · 14/10/2026 16:43

Excellent thread title, and @bigboykitty surely deserves a special mention for presenting the cocktail sausage for our delectation towards the end of the last thread Grin🌭

Lovely! I worry when you don't update.

I assume that things are going ok and she is busy with work and the children when she doesn't update. She has enough on her plate without pressure from us to update.

OP, you are doing brilliantly well but please don't listen to him. His version of you doesn't exist, none of this is your fault, it's all him. When you attempt to get him to face up to his responsibilities, he just loves to twist it round into a criticism of you, so he can avoid the subject. After years of grinding you down, he knows what to say to upset and wrong-foot you. It's not surprising that you take it to heart, but that doesn't make him right. He is completely wrong.

mummy917 · 14/10/2026 16:45

Absolutely! @bigboykittydeserves all the credit for the newest and funniest anecdote in this whole series! 🤣💛

I have two night shifts tonight and tomorrow so will dip in and out when I’m actually awake 🤣

Chickadeeinme · 14/10/2026 17:42

Great thread title - best ever.

tinyspiny · 14/10/2026 17:56

Do you think your son will tell you if he’s been ‘grilled’ without you asking him @mummy917 ?

Pollypocket9876 · 14/10/2026 17:58

Oh I needed the “dickswimming with a cocktail sausage” comment today!
Have a fabulous time on Saturday night, you certainly deserve it.

WitsEndFFS · 14/10/2026 18:01

Ah, you’ll get a lot of followers with a great title like that! I was on originally but keep name changing.

LadyMacbethssweetArabianhand · 14/10/2026 18:15

Exactly, most odd. I agree silence means things are going well.

Satellitetimedelay · 14/10/2026 18:56

Cheering on from the sidelines, mumsnet at its very best 💪🏻💪🏻🎉🎉

Pessismistic · 14/10/2026 18:59

Hi op you shouldn’t have to text friends to keep secrets from your dc. I’m sure it’s more your ex asking questions rather than dc saying hi dad mums out at the weekend either way you’re an adult and should not have to have secret texts and calls. If you don’t want dc to know fair enough texting will be more practical. I hope you enjoy your time out.
