Glad you all laughed! After I sent that I thought "OMG what if they are offended by my sick sense of humour!", but thankfully you all have the same!
Saw XP on way to work this morning. Obviously on his way to the pub . I'm feeling a bit down today, he's not even trying to talk like he usually does, I think he's just on a downward spiral.
I haven't got much to do at work today, which is driving me mad as I'm trying not to think about things and it keeps popping back into my head.
Dior - wow, how nice! Enjoy it while it lasts!!!

WilyWombat · 11/07/2008 11:14

You can be as sick as you like to me - I have to keep my humour in check because its so sick and people take me seriously.

lilyloo · 11/07/2008 11:34

Morning all

Baffy sorry i missed your post and can only reiterate what others have said r/e if he can't do it now then you know for when you get back and go house hunting! Have lovely hol!

Ginny well done you on filling up your time. He seems on a real self destruct i guess you have to leave him to hit rock bottom and realise and ask for help but it must be terribly hard to watch someone you love doing this

PC hope the back is better today , get yourself booked in for a massage

Dior well done you , that is fab i can't believe you have done so well you should be very proud of yourself Hope ds better today!

McD i know what you mean about finances we at the limit of overdraft now and have dp's buisness loan to sort out and he just gor speeding ticket for doing 36 mph and missed the 14 day deadline for paying for speed awareness course as we didn't have money so now he will get 3 points and his insurance will prob go up We just seem to be sinking further into debt and can't get our head above water!
Hope you get sorted soon.

Hope everyone else ok LL,WW,Tanee,UC etc.

TFM HELLLLOOOO where are you ????????????

HappyWoman · 11/07/2008 12:31

Hi
Had computer problems - again.

MCD - I think i would be up for a meet up if you like - my dd has her last day at nursery on the 22nd but could probably do either the 21st or 23rd if you still fancy it though. Not sure how many of my brood would want to do it too though.

Dior - fantastic news about the weight loss - it really does only take a couple of weeks to get back into it.

DH is off next week (well actually not doing much work at all at the moment ), and we are hoping to stay at a friends place for a couple of days - its just nice to have time together without doing the chores. So may not be around much next week either.

TimeForMe · 11/07/2008 13:23

Hi everyone

Just checking in while I have chance. It's been a busy week with school events etc. Then I had the most frightening experience of my life this morning. I was driving to the supermarket and so this car veering over to my side of the road, only he kept veering, heading right for me. I flashed my lights and swerved and luckily he swerved right at the last minute. The dickhead! My heart nearly burst out of my chest I was that frightend. I burst into tears and had to pull over to compose myself. God knows what I would be like if I ever did have a crash!

I hope everyone is ok and has a lovely weekend. We are at York racecourse tomorrow, a 'posh do' with DP's work. So I will get to wear the dress that I didn't get to wear for the Grand National

Well done on the weightloss Dior. Keep up the good work!

Love to everyone xxx

TimeForMe · 11/07/2008 14:01

Thanks guys. So, you had me making doilies and writing a novel? No mention of running off with a dark handsome stranger then? I must be the 'safe' kind

TFM glad to see you back and thank goodness you're safe!!

Dior, congrats! I'm afraid my walking hasn't happened this week with the rain. I'm a right wuss. Hope to get back to it next week, especially as a woman tried to offer me a seat AGAIN on the underground last night. Yep, the good news is, I look young enough to be pregnant; the bad news is, I look FAT enough to be pregnant!

I'm stuck in now waiting for the house inspection from this student homestay company - and she's 45 mins late. Rang the company, who were going to check on her whereabouts and call me back - that was 15 mins ago. Not a good start. Oh great, they just rang and said she had a 'problem with transport' and went home! WTF? And she can't visit again till the 21st. I was feeling all optimistic as they said they'd have students coming in August - and I spent hours cleaning the place this morning! OK, deep breath....

Tanee58 · 11/07/2008 16:25

McD & HW - bums, hoped I could meet you that week, but I will be working full time as my line manager is on hols - and will anyway have to leave early on the 21st for this wretched inspection. Really sorry. Any chance during August?

Hi!!
Glad you're back TFM, I missed you! Have a fab day at York tomorrow.
Tannee - some people are so unprofessional aren't they. It wouldn't have hurt them to call you.
I've had a crap day at work. Didn't have much to do and just didn't want to be there. Don't know where I wanted to be, just not there! Just saw XP stumble past my window looking very angry and very drunk .
I was all excited about tonight but now I just feel like hiding up and crying. Got to make myself go though, it will do me good.
I'm really struggling to eat and do all the normal everyday things, but I keep feeling sick and tearful. I think its delayed reaction now the anger is wearing off.
Dior - my dss are being a bit high spirited atm. It is the end of term, they get so overexcited and overtired, bless them. Their school reports were both good though and they are both happy with their new classes for next year so only 2 more weeks to get through then they should calm down!
Anyway. Hope you all have a good weekend. No doubt I'll be on here for most of it!!

Tanee58 · 11/07/2008 18:10

Ginny - I'm sorry you've had such a bad day - but you're bound to feel a reaction. The anger keeps us high and feeling in control for awhile - but it doesn't help that you see him rolling by. If it's any comfort, he's probably feeling bad too - BUT He deserves it and you don't.

Glad your boys had such good reports - they are a credit to you!

TFM - enjoy York and your posh frock - glad you're getting the chance to wear it. Hope it keeps dry for you - and very glad you are not off making doilies .

I have spent time finding lots of other homestay companies - so shall do a good bit of ringing around on Monday. One has already said they will visit in a week or so. Putting my eggs in many baskets

Oh and Ginny, hope you have a great evening. It WILL do you good. I had a lovely time last night with my old schoolfriend and it did us both good. We just couldn't stop talking and she nearly missed her train . She's just been made redundant after 30 years at the BBC and is starting her life all over again at 50. Scary, but exciting.

Cashncarry · 11/07/2008 23:38

Hello all Just posting to say I'm feeling a lot better over the last couple of days and generally more hopeful ... sort of! DH and I are having a bit of an "outside" crisis which we're coping with and which is drawing us closer together. Am a bit worried that things will drift again once it's over but we'll see...

In the meantime, I'm at how much I've got to catch up on! Hopefully by now Baffy's having a great hols and TFM is getting all tarted up for York! Wanted to say well done to PC, Dior, Lilyloo, Lilybubble and McD - I'm so happy to read your recent posts, you all sound so much stronger - you need to give me some of what you're taking!

Ginny - you're doing brillantly considering that 6 months ago, you might have been spiralling downwards with DP. You seem to have detached yourself so well from him and his problems although I'm sure you're emotionally drained from the effort of it all I just wish he could see what he was missing out on - not just with you and the boys but also with his DD

I'm feeling an arse-kicking coming on

Dior - well done your ds report Also great news about your weight loss. You're doing so well. I have noticed a real change in you since you started walking/going to weight watchers. TFM - have a great day at the York races Great excuse to get glammed up. Sorry to hear about your near collision. What an a-hole I would've been well shaken up too
