Why do men cheat if their wife is beautiful?

Hi everyone does anyone know why a man who has a stunning wife that he loves still looks around for other options or cheats? It’s something I can never understand. If they have a gorgeous wife, and a loving happy marriage why do they risk it all for no reason? Thanks

Lots of beautiful famous women like Shakira and sienna miller and Cheryl Cole and Princess Diana have been cheated on. The men cheat because they get horny or want a rush of power or a cheap thrill. Not because their partner isn’t pretty enough.

Some people can have steak at home but still feel like a McDonalds burger sometimes

Because some men are hollow and they are a void inside them.

Because it’s not about the woman, it’s about the personality flaws and failings that the man has.

Because not everything is about looks. Maybe he's just an arsehole of a man.

Being beautiful doesn't stop women being cheated on. The other women is often less attractive than the wife too.

Why they do it is anyone's guess. I imagine it's because they are simply bastards.

Yeah it is so strange. It’s currently happening to my cousin who is stunning & a great wife & mother. She’s intimate with her husband daily so it’s not for that & she sacrificed a lot to marry him. He risked all that just to act like a single guy. Now he’s begging her back but she can’t forgive him. It doesn’t make sense to throw away a wonderful family for absolutely no reason

For the same reason all cheaters cheat, because they lack empathy for the pain they can cause, and the strength to do the right thing.

Having an attractive partner doesn't change much, if anything.

I think once you’ve been in a relationship a while, it doesn’t really matter what the person looks like any more. For me, anyway. How you feel about them inside overtakes. So looks become obsolete.

if they love her that’s a different matter. I would say that they don’t though. I don’t think these kinds of men/people know what real love is.

It’s not no reason though. This man was getting some kind of need met by having an affair, because of flaws in his personality and character. The risk of being caught. The thrill of behaving clandestinely. The need for attention, more than is reasonable. Etc etc. all things about him and nothing to do with your cousin.

In that case it’s cos he is simply a selfish arsehole and thus she will be happier without him.

People get bored - they want to recreate that excitement of a new relationship, novelty and difference are appealing, they are fundamentally selfish and feel entitled to an affair esp if they are also arrogant enough to assume their spouse won't ever find out. It's fundamental weakness and lack of moral fibre in their character.

I guess all the ugly bastards just have to lean into the inevitable. Nobody’s wondering why THEY get cheated on. What a depressing thread.

Guys who are attracted to a woman just for their looks are attracted to ANY woman if she looks good. They arent interested in qualities such as personality, brains, skills etc. Women are interchangeable like dolls. So they will have sex with any woman who meets their criteria of being decorative.

Some men are just hardwired to do it imo. I think if you asked them, even they don’t really know why they do it.

It's really time to let go of the idea that women get cheated on because they're not good looking enough in some way.

A really short look around the real world proves otherwise.

Haven’t you noticed that celebrities, supermodels, rich beautiful people, middle class people usually have more cheating going on. It’s not about beauty or age. Most men cheat for the excitement, having sex with someone different.. in that moment they are thinking with their dick.

I didn’t mean that less attractive women should be expected to be cheated on. It’s just surprising when a man who’s much less attractive than his wife is the one who ends up cheating on her

Yeah, obviously if she was a real tugboat it would serve her right that he cheated … seriously? You think men only cheat because their partners aren’t making enough effort or because they’re not having sex frequently? A rather misogynistic view.

What’s the horrible saying, for every beautiful woman there is a man tired of fucking her? Cheating isn’t about looks. It’s about so many things, but looks isn’t one of them, it can be about the thrill, the validation, the excitement, or it can be about unhappiness at home, an escape from daily grind, a way to exit a relationship that doesn’t work any more, there is no one reason people cheat, there are so many different reasons and every situation is unique.
