My husband is still asleep . Since 11 last night . Should I wake him ? I don't think he would want to sleep his whole day away , surely he needs a wee 😂 I'm missing him as we usually spend our sat days together . He obviously really needs it . Bless his little socks . Just a Ramble post really as I could never sleep like that and I can't believe he's still asleep 😂 xx

I wonder where this is headed....

StormingNorman · 18/01/2025 13:45

I’d take him a cup of tea and check he’s ok. If he’s alright, just let him sleep.

Sakura7 · 18/01/2025 13:45

You're missing him? It's only a few hours!

behappybee · 18/01/2025 13:47

@FedupMum2024 what does that mean sorry x

Megifer · 18/01/2025 13:48

Yea just go and wake him not sure why this needs a post on MN unless there's a drip feed coming.....

DustyLee123 · 18/01/2025 13:48

Get the hoover out and wake him up.

behappybee · 18/01/2025 13:49

@Sakura7 Yeh I'm am ... I love our days off together we hardly get time together in the week due to work and he's fun to be around. We would of been out on a nice walk and probably a lunch by now . 😀

@Megifer I just think it's unusual for someone to sleep this long tbh . Just wondered if I should wake him or leave him and thought I would ask for an opinion. What do you mean by drip feed ?

Drip feeding is when someone starts a post like this without adding vital information like DH has a cocaine habit and you have 6 month old triplets and 2 year old twins that you have been wrangling alone since 5.30.

Whydoeseveryonewanttoargue · 18/01/2025 13:55

OMG OP let the man sleep. This is what he needs and you are only thinking about what you need - I miss him, we would be having lunch and going for a walk by now, we spend our days together etc.

You sounds super needy and dependant.

HesDeadBenYouCanStopNow · 18/01/2025 13:56

I'd be really cross if I was woken up for no reason and I was catching up on some sleep

Often extra sleep is due to your body fighting off something, it's important for recovery. Leave him alone unless there is an important reason.

I hope you get a chance to rest when you need it too.

I say this as I slept until after 10 today and feel much better for it

Rosesgrowonyou · 18/01/2025 13:56

Join him in bed.

behappybee · 18/01/2025 13:58

@Rosesgrowonyou

He's star fishing I can't fit 😂

Another option would be to braid sparkly little ornaments into his hair and write "WAKY UP LAZYBONES!" or similar on his forehead with lipstick.

It is unusual. For an adult.

Sorry just really not sure why you'd need opinions on whether to give an adult a quick nudge to see if they want to get up after sleeping nearly 15 hours. I just wondered if there was a "well tbf he did take his usual 5 Tramadol last night with a bottle of vodka" coming.

Wouldn't wake him up cos you're missing him though that's a bit strange.

Join him in bed.

This id be joining him.

behappybee · 18/01/2025 14:03

@Megifer

Bit of is he okay shall I wake him and check / He will be sad he's missed our plans he looks forward to a day off and usually likes to make the most of it / I do miss him even though I'm being called needy I don't really care 😂 I bloody love our days off together and I'm just waiting around / I'm bored

No drip feeding we don't have 29 kids or cocaine habits , just wanted different opinions. I'm leaving him and I've just stuck a documentary on and got back in my pjs
