My husband is still asleep . Since 11 last night . Should I wake him ? I don't think he would want to sleep his whole day away , surely he needs a wee 😂 I'm missing him as we usually spend our sat days together . He obviously really needs it . Bless his little socks . Just a Ramble post really as I could never sleep like that and I can't believe he's still asleep 😂 xx

@LadyTangerine on the bedside table I think. I didn't check. If anyone needed him urgently they could call me 🥰xx

On his bedside table. Do you think he may have been on it at all during his 16hrs in bed?

Garman · 18/01/2025 15:22

You’re talking about him like he’s a toddler, get a grip or some therapy.

behappybee · 18/01/2025 15:24

@LadyTangerine
What do you think that he woke up in the night and played on it. I don't think so he's not much of a phone person he can't find it half the time or I have to bring it to him when it's ringing as he's left it lying around xx

I was with you OP until you said ‘Karen’s’….misogynistic and insulting to women.

behappybee · 18/01/2025 15:27

@ScribblingPixie yes definitely a nice tea . It's more for when he's on the go ( he's in senior management so day can just fly away ) for the huels as he just won't eat xxx

Megifer · 18/01/2025 15:28

Just let his own ears guide him to his phone in future op.

SallymetLarry · 18/01/2025 15:28

@behappybee Is this a one-off or does it happen a lot?

Being serious, it's not good, Sleeping longer than 9 hours is linked to stroke risk (unless the person is catching up on sleep as a short-term thing.)

Is he overweight?
Could he be sleeping badly, with sleep apnoea.
This is where someone has disturbed sleep because their sleep and breathing is affected by weight around the neck.

If he's always tired, he needs checking for diabetes.

I think barring illness men don't stay in bed all day unless they are on their gadgets.

Is that a euphemism?

behappybee · 18/01/2025 15:29

@Megifer will do if it's in ears reach of course

Are you ever going to say if this is a one-off?

It's rather important.

Grin

He is either ill, otherwise entertained online or avoiding something. Us Karens can't tell you what that may be op. Had you mentioned shopping perhaps?

Nothing wrong with the biscuit thread - oh! Wait! yes there is! It seems most people do not think the bourbon is the worst biscuit so aren't agreeing with me!!!

The CHOCOLATE flavoured biscuit with the CHOCOLATE buttercream?? What is wrong with you! 😱😱😱

Really confused. Do you and your husband have different rooms orive in different properties or something?
When you wake in the morning, don’t you bring him a cup of tea or coffee and gently wake him up for the day?

So adorable. Is that was not being single would be like?

Right we're on . Snacks / films / duvet is coming downstairs onto the sofa

On a side note has anyone watched any fantastic series recently / films

Xxx

DH and I are working our way through Strike on the BBC and really enjoying it. We just went a walk and now thing coffee and an episode or two before we make dinner.

behappybee · 18/01/2025 15:33

@SallymetLarry what do you mean ? Why is it important. If he's not around and his phone rings , should I not take it to him ?

OP posts:
behappybee · 18/01/2025 15:34

@LadyTangerine should I search his phone just incase he wasn't really snoring all morning and it was an act ?

He needs urgent mental health care. Excessive daytime sleeping is a sign of severe depression. Ring you local crisis home treatment team now and explain the situation.

Failing that, A&E

That’s dreadful advice,really. This doesn’t warrant crisis team,it’s not a crisis
And ED isn’t the place for a non emergency long sleep
Home treatment team for safe, stable, not deteriorating in mental state? NO NO and NO

Do you watch the news are you aware of ED crisis and corridor care?

behappybee · 18/01/2025 15:37

@Zone2NorthLondon hey I think she was being sarcastic xx

Snoring for 16hrs is excessive you must get him checked for sleep apnoea but in the meantime yes I'd have a quick snoop on his phone.
