My husband is still asleep . Since 11 last night . Should I wake him ? I don't think he would want to sleep his whole day away , surely he needs a wee 😂 I'm missing him as we usually spend our sat days together . He obviously really needs it . Bless his little socks . Just a Ramble post really as I could never sleep like that and I can't believe he's still asleep 😂 xx

@Sakura7 not really dependent enjoying time with my husband 🫠

Many on MN don't like to hear about people happily in love so they will find something to pick at.

FeralNun · 18/01/2025 16:54

You know what OP? Your life sounds a million miles away from mine, but that doesn’t matter - you sound a really happy person and that is a gift. Carry on enjoying your life just how you are!

MyDeftDuck · 18/01/2025 16:56

We both worked shifts, and unfortunately not on the same rota pattern. We always said, if we've had more than x amount of hours then wake us up.........used to get a banging headache from dehydration otherwise.

“why are you posting about this?
“You sound needy”
“It’s not healthy to be so dependent on your husband”
“He sounds depressed”.

Mumsnet is batshit sometimes!

Absolutely.

Hope he feels better soon OP, some people just can’t accept that someone is genuinely happy with their partner, some replies on here are hilarious and you’ve handled them perfectly 🤭

behappybee · 18/01/2025 17:08

@Hazylazydays haha thank you I've been in customer facing roles my whole career - I think that helps xxx

I'm in a very happy marriage thanks! I just don't understand missing someone I live with, who's simply asleep upstairs. Or being bored waiting for him to wake up. But each to their own.

behappybee · 18/01/2025 17:33

@Sakura7 yup ... each to their own

Update : he's back in bed he feels dreadful . He's not sleeping just watching tv . He's dosed up and he's got one of the dogs cuddling him . I hope he feels better soon. I do wish it was a week later (don't come for me I'm not selfish 😅😂) as a book I'm waiting for is released on the 25th . I've got my kindle and the other dog tho so all good here 😁😁😁 xxxx

DD was not feeling well yesterday and had her first day off sick in 10 years.
She also slept the clock round and has a tickle cough to go with it.
Hope he feels better soon so that you can have proper cuddles. x

Nutters. Between this now and the biscuit thread, I don’t know what’s going on here.

There's one about eating in the middle of the night with lots of faux concern. We've lost sight of what a healthy middle of the night snack is

behappybee · 18/01/2025 18:09

@devastatedagain
Yeah all the time , I've got a lot of lovely friends / I have a chippy and a game night with my parents every Thursday/ I've got three hen dos this year one is in Morocco - I can't wait for this one , we have our own chef 😍/ I have my own business in a little village and my best friend works with me and we have such fun . My next three weekends I have friends and family coming to stay . I must of had at least 5 Xmas dinners . Does that help ? Sorry I'm not the lonely soul you want me to me .

You're waiting for Onyx Storm, right?

Is DH's surname Riorson?

I'm glad he's up and about and I think it's lovely that you enjoy spending your day with your husband. I do too and I don't care if others percieve it as needy. I'm very NOT needy and love my own company. However, if we have a day planned together then I'd also be secretly hoping he woke up and might not have had your patience in letting the poor chap sleep. I'd have been accidently knocking something over... He's always up way before me though, so it's never actually come to that yet.

What I do need to know is, how the heck did he go 16 hours without waking up to go to the bathroom? I'm in awe and incredibly jealous! I get up 3-4 times a night and that's when I'm in bed for 8-9 hours! 😂

I also think it's lovely that you enjoy spending time with your husband.

I'd have been out with the hoover, put the washing machine on and marched through the house with the local brass band before saying 'oh were you trying to sleep? Soz'. 😂😂

Edited to fix mistakes made by my big banana fingers

.

Op Onyx storm comes out on 21st, not 25th...

Purpledreamer17 · 18/01/2025 18:55

If he's still breathing then I'd leave him to sleep

behappybee · 18/01/2025 18:58

@Dishwashersaurous I had 25th in my head for some reason. That's great I'm off work on the 21st too . Thanks for letting me know xx

If he's still ill, then you can be a caring nurse whilst actually reading instead.

'also think it's lovely that you enjoy spending time with your husband'

Many people enjoy spending time with their spouses it was the op missing him when he was in bed that a pp suggested was unusual I believe.

Edited

She was missing spending time with him as she usually does at the weekend. Either way, I think it's lovely. If other people don't, that's their right.
