My husband is still asleep . Since 11 last night . Should I wake him ? I don't think he would want to sleep his whole day away , surely he needs a wee 😂 I'm missing him as we usually spend our sat days together . He obviously really needs it . Bless his little socks . Just a Ramble post really as I could never sleep like that and I can't believe he's still asleep 😂 xx

Really confused. Do you and your husband have different rooms orive in different properties or something?
When you wake in the morning, don’t you bring him a cup of tea or coffee and gently wake him up for the day?

I can't tell if this is genuine or sarcastic! 😂

I live with my DH. We don’t have tea in bed and we don’t wake each other up. We just get up on our own.

behappybee · 18/01/2025 14:56

@WhiteLily1 no I'm just a early bird so I'll usually get up and do any jobs and sort the dogs etc out then he will come down a few hours later xx

Get back into bed with him and snuggle him. It's the best thing on the world to wake up after a long sleep warm and cuddled by a loving partner. Plenty of opportunities for walks and meals. Cost nothing too.

Reverse the sexes and he would be a disgusting sex pest who refused to respect her personal space - because "He says he just wants a cuddle, but we all know what he really means" - and she should LTB instantly!

HeffalumpsAndWoozlesAreHoneyRobbingTwats · 18/01/2025 14:56

He's awake. Boring. I'd have had my cymbals and the clown horn out ages ago. 👀😇

Nutters. Between this now and the biscuit thread, I don’t know what’s going on here.

Nothing wrong with the biscuit thread - oh! Wait! yes there is! It seems most people do not think the bourbon is the worst biscuit so aren't agreeing with me!!!

behappybee · 18/01/2025 14:57

@ScribblingPixie I will do. I just said have you been eating okay in the week and he said he's been missing a few meals due to being busy etc I'll grab him some huels and vitamins and keep my fingers crossed he's not getting a bug. Xxx

Wait until he wakes up naturally though keep an eye on the breathing. Hopefully he will be hungry soon. Assess how he is then. He may be 'coming down with something' or just super tired.

Mockingjay876 · 18/01/2025 15:01

Depends really. My dp , id definitely be checking on him because if he was still in bed at 1pm there would be something very wrong. For others, a lie in like that is normal.

behappybee · 18/01/2025 15:01

Just educated myself on the Karen term didn't realise sorry . 🥰🥰🥰

I think this is a really cute thread. Makes a change from people in relationships who hate spending time together.

@Princessconsuelabananahammock9 ❤️❤️❤️ I hope he wakes soon and you can have a lovely day

Where was his phone during this sleeping marathon just out of interest?

For fantastic films I recommend Bullet Train with Brad Pitt. Very silly, bit gory but in a Tarantino non shocking style.

He needs urgent mental health care. Excessive daytime sleeping is a sign of severe depression. Ring you local crisis home treatment team now and explain the situation.

Failing that, A&E

Huh? 🤔

GroovyChick87 · 18/01/2025 15:14

You're not the only wife who loves your husband but you sound like you're talking like about a toddler. Did we all need the update he's had a very long wee? You're his wife, not his mother.

Yup, interspersed with the usual "you're so needy" if you enjoy spending time with your other half 🤣 can I call them that or is that a sign of over emotional dependency? 🤣🤣🤣

Better get yourself to therapy 😂

SallymetLarry · 18/01/2025 15:19

It's not normal for a healthy (young?) man to sleep for 16 hours.

Unless he had a LOT to drink last night, or he works shifts and is catching up, or has jet lag.

If this is a habit, he needs to see his GP.

Maybe a big wintry beef, bean and vegetable stew, if you eat meat. And a bag of oranges. He sounds run down.
