Asking a tradesman out after doing job

userhelp · 24/09/2024 13:54

Had a tradesman around to do a job, got on well lots of chatting about ourselves, life's etc definitely a bit of flirting, he even made a comment about taking me out at weekend which I kind of pretend I didn't hear as was embarrassed

Would it be cringe of me to text asking for a drink? I mean I figure I haven't ever got to see again if they say no 🤷‍♀️

We're both in your early 40's and single

I wouldn’t.
He was there to do a job. I’d hate to be doing my job and getting asked for dates. I feel like having people in your home makes peoples boundaries fall to the way side.

UPDATE... sorry I didn't get time to check in before hand with outfit update etc as weekend was pretty full on and just didn't get the time.

So in the end I went for blue jeans, khaki green shirt I picked up in Zara a few weeks back and some tan cowboy style ankle boots...

The date was actually really nice, we had a few drinks, food, lots of laughing and joking and definitely flirting, little kiss at the end

We are going to arrange another

Love this!! ❤️

That's nice! Just watch out, I had a friend who had a fling with her builder, turned out he was shagging a large proportion of his customers :)

I'm just parking up in this thread because I want it to pop up as a zombie in 10 years when you are married with kids 😀

Does anyone remember the poster who was flirting with a tradie and sometimes he had his teeth in and sometimes he didn't? She was smitten and I was very invested.

DysonSphere · 30/09/2024 22:08

You were late! Yes!! Brilliant.

It's a providential sign!

This will work out well! All the best marrieds had a late date!

Weezypopsy · 01/07/2025 07:56

OP, how did this all pan out?

OverthinkingOlive · 01/07/2025 21:27

Yes I'd also love an update on this!

Berlinlover · 01/07/2025 21:35

I asked a tradesman out for a drink, once.

We’ve been married for 17 years!
