My husband shaved

My DH went on a work trip to somewhere quite hot. It got to around 25C so not unmanageable. I noticed on his return he had shaved down under. This is very unusual for him. When I asked him about it he said he did it because he was so hot and he gets sweaty. It didn't really sit well with me but I've never mentioned it again. He doesn't shave normally here in the summer. Am I thinking too much into this? Also when chatting about this trip on one occasion he became very flushed, red faced and very hot which has never happened before. I felt alarmed by this but have said nothing.

This! I would never associate a man shaving down there with cheating. I'd find it massively offputting if I went to bed with a man for the first time and he'd shaved down there. Imagine it'd be very prickly, uncomfortable and chafe for both people 🤢

I think you’re mistaken! If a woman never did any bushwork and suddenly did right before a trip far away with a male colleague and claimed sweatiness, the comments would absolutely be the same😂

So bizarre. Very few women are not either trimmed, shaved or waxed - but if a man does anything in this area, he’s cheating 😂

My nephew is a professional sportsman. They take the piss massively out of anyone that isn’t attended to in the intimate hair region - it’s very rare with the youngsters to be au naturale.

Yes but to do to suddenly when it's not a regular habit, on a business trip and alongside "mentionitis" is difficult to dismiss.

If he’s never done it before (shaved) and he’s suddenly doing it now, I’d normally say he’s doing it to impress a woman. With your subsequent post about him cheating before years ago, well he’s got form hasn’t he?

But this is happening suddenly. It’s not like he’s always trimmed down there, because then if he was trimmed a lot then OP wouldn’t see anything out of the normal would she?

Buying all new everything including the underwear is the worry thing for me. Fair enough new shirts for your suit etc, but colleagues don’t see underwear. I would sadly think he has cheated again with your extra info.

He's not a new Zealand man so won't be acclimatised. I guess there's always a chance you know, nothing whatsoever has gone on and he may have just done it to feel more comfortable. But I suppose that doesn't fit the MN narrative 😕

If he shaved before the trip maybe he’s sending dick pics and used the trip to a hotter climate as an excuse?

Something has gone on though OP or he wouldn’t be acting so weird. Given his previous form for cheating I would have no qualms about demanding he log into his computer and give you his phone passcode and let you sit and look through both there and then.

I think if he did it before he went, you would know for sure. It would be a crime scene of pubes if he hasn’t done it before. Also, unless he did it on the morning of travel, guessing you may have noticed?

If you combine the new clothes (to impress?) With the pubic manscaping with the female colleague and the work trip cancelled and looking around destinations together with the coming back and looking awkward / like he had been caught out with something, and the previous form, I would say there is a good chance he has cheated. I asked him to tell me what happened in New Zealand and he told me he would only tell me once that nothing happened and that he didn't know what was going on in my paranoid head, but he's tired of it.

Definitely suspicious. Any hook ups I've had have always arrived with a freshly shaved pubic area

I am in Australia and we’ve had a very humid summer - it has felt like Singapore at times. I would not think of shaving my fanny to cool down because the skin on skin friction would feel worse. Ugh!
