How long had you known your DP/DH before having sex?

Inspired by another thread where a commenter suggested refusing to have sex until marriage in order to filter men who were serious about marriage and relationships.

I'd known DP for about two hours 😳 hadn't conducted myself in that way previously, but we've been together for nearly six years now!

In the past I'd waited months before beginning a sexual relationship with a partner and still got binned in the coming days/weeks and so I'm of the mind that if a man wants a woman just for sex he's usually prepared to wait it out, which is obviously horrible behaviour.

Second date, that’s always been my MO from when I was 18.

We had been speaking online for three months (pandemic) and had sex within an hour of meeting.

I just do it when it feels right, whether that's quick or a month or so. Sexual compatibility is really important to me though and if someone loses interest because of having sex that they also participated in, oh well.

4 visits- we were at university in different cities. Surprisingly long given that we were 19.

We kissed on the first date and had sex on the second date. We had been chatting very regularly online for a month prior

A few weeks if you mean normal full sex. If oral counts then very quickly indeed as we actually met at a glory hole in a sex club

I’d known him for two years, we knew for months what was developing was deeper than standard friendship - then we had the most perfect first kiss and about a fortnight after that. We count our anniversary from the kiss.

since when love is a requirement for sex? I fancied my now husband, love came when he turned out to be a good cook too!

Hopefully he was good in bed too 😉. Some of the attitudes on here tend to go back to the days when sex was looked upon as something a woman “gave” to a man as some sort of reward.

Some of us just need a good rogering on a regular basis.

that's what I meant - love is not needed for sex, people just need to fancy each other and be good at it

love takes a bit more than that - but as others posters said, its fine if a one night stand does not end up being the love of our lives. I doubt anyone has sex on first date and imagines hearing wedding bells

Went back to his the first night we met (we got a bit too tipsy on the first date) but didn’t actually go that far 😂 then about 6 weeks later as we were both nervous 😄

Current - 2 years
Previous - 3 weeks of chat after an OLD site and then had sex within 2 hours of meeting at mine, amazing how comfortable 3 weeks of chat made me and it didn't feel 'wrong' at all - I didn't hold back on anything!
