My husband went to play darts last night as he does every Wednesday. I’ve woken up at 4.30am and he isn’t home!!!
I’ve tried calling him and WhatsApping him- no answer and no reply. He hasn’t read my messages.
his darts team are his old work mates who I have no contact information for.
im worried sick. What do I do!? Do I call the police? Do I call hospitals !? Help, I feel sick

I hope he’s ok OP

Ahhhhhbisto · 07/09/2023 09:54

I hope he is back with you soon @Worried00 Flowers
Did you manage to get the kids to school?

TenderDandelions · 07/09/2023 09:55

On the insurance front, check your policy as more often than not you are insured on your policy to drive other cars.

SoShallINever · 07/09/2023 09:59

Thinking of you OP and hoping all turns out well.
I hope you have reported him missing now.
I would go to the pub and see if anyone there has any contact details of his friends or can remember who he left with.
Then drive the route from the pub to his home, to see if there is any sign of his broken down car.
I know it's unlikely (and font want to worry you) but could his car have come off the road? Check to see if there are any ditches, broken fences along the route.

maclen · 07/09/2023 10:02

So he's gone out with people you have no idea whom they are? Not even one of them that you can contact via social media?... You mention he's done this before a few times back in the past... I would be more worried he's had a one night stand than got into an accident but that's just my way of thinking. Sorry OP. Hope all works out for you x

Whattodo112222 · 07/09/2023 10:03

Hope you're ok OP and he's ok x

Twinsmummy1812 · 07/09/2023 10:04

Can you trace his route from where he was last night to home and see if you can spot the car? You should be insured third party on his car if you have fully comp on yours. Hope all is well x

HarLace1 · 07/09/2023 10:05

Must be worried sick, please let us know when he's home safe

rainbowstardrops · 07/09/2023 10:09

Oh blimey @Worried00, you must be worried sick!
I hope he's home by now and he de used to drink for a change and he crashed on someone's sofa.

HowToSaveAWife · 07/09/2023 10:10

Oh dear, this is worrying especially as he doesn't drink. Hope he's ok and comes home soon OP.

Jetstream · 07/09/2023 10:11

Can you transfer your insurance to the available car for the day?
Could you work from home for the day?
Ring the pub where the darts session was played and ask if they know whom he left with.
It is possible he crashed at someone’s house for the night.
I’d be very pissed off with him OP.

Nortam · 07/09/2023 10:12

Op, if you have Facebook, check your message requests. Maybe he has tried to contact you on a friend's Facebook messenger if something's happened to his phone. If you're not friends with the person, it will come through on message requests. Probably unlikely but just a thought. Hope everything turns out okay. X

12moose · 07/09/2023 10:13

Can you contact the place where he played darts? Ask when they saw him leave. Ask if they know the details of who he played with.

@Nuca well said! I know a handful of people who have been unknowingly caught out

OP we’re all thinking about you 💐really hope there’s a simple explanation and he’s OK

Phos · 07/09/2023 10:15

I hope he's accounted for now, have you rang his work to see if he turned up?

It's not that odd. DH goes running with friends. I know their names and have met most of them once or twice but I don't have their contact details and I don't have social media so there's no way I could contact any of them if anything happened.

DebbieLouiseDairyleaCheese · 07/09/2023 10:17

Really hope he's ok OP, thinking of you 💐

DinkyDaffodil · 07/09/2023 10:17

Any news OP ?

Worried00 · 07/09/2023 10:18

He is home.
I drove his car to drop the kids to school, I didn’t go to work.

i called his brother and his friends, none of them knew where he was.
he called me at 9am to say he had got drunk and fallen asleep on the sofa.

he has called in sick to work.

although I am relieved he is is okay, I am absolutely fuming!!!! I’ve told him to pack a bag and leave

Hopefully the OP's lack of an update means he's home and she's giving him a telling-off for getting her frantic with worry x

Timelles · 07/09/2023 10:19

Relieved to hear he's home, what are his reasons for not contacting you?
