He has trauma from his past relationship and has sadly used us ‘both’ as having baggage as a way out rather than accept he was wrong.

@LostidentityM the problem I have is he isn’t bothered. In the early stages he would worry and contact me immediately if he thought something was up..this time nothing. And stubborn as it may sound I’m not going back to try and pull back something I haven’t done and feel rejected for it.

@Bimc44 I really admire your boundaries. I've been guilty of trying to fix things whereas actually both parties need to fix together

@LostidentityM thank you. Feels like a very hard thing to do, because I can’t quite believe he’s the person who would behave like this. But I am guilty of always being the one to ‘resolve/brush under the carpet’ in previous relationships so I think I’ve lost any effort when I feel it’s not reciprocated.

Well I'm doing better in my boundaries and am very pleased with myself.

After tweaking and reposting my POF profile I've had totally different people.

I am meeting two tomorrow- one morning and one evening. I was chatting on the phone to another but he made me feel a bit uncomfortable phoning and messaging all the time, seeing when I was on POF etc so I Whatsapped him and said it made me uncomfortable and so he wasn't for me. He took it very nicely. All credit to him.

It's not something I would have done before - serial people pleaser.

But one thing I did that I wish I hadn't was send a full length picture of me to the guys I'm meeting as my confidence was knocked by that man who said I was too fat. But they both said how gorgeous my figure was. I gave them a chance to back out if they wanted. I should not have done that.

My new profile is all about how strong and independent I am. I must maintain that.

So yes - meeting 3, speaking to another 2. All seems ok just now - wait for the crash tomorrow night 😂😂

I thought I'd found a fwb but now he's changed his mind. Says he's not sure that's what he wants.
Which I translate as he's got a better offer.

I seem to be undateable. No one replies to my messages. No one messages me.
I've taken myself off everything as I don't know what to do.
I thought my profile looked ok. Nice photos etc but I think I have one of those faces that men don't like.
I've always struggled to get matches/messages but this is the worst it's been in my 6 years of OLD.

I'm 54. I have my age range as 48-62.

I know OLD is brutal. I'm back on it after 18months away because I thought I'd found 'the one'. But this time I'm finding it very difficult to get any interest.

This year I've had:
One who met me for 30mins. Disappeared for 2 weeks then resurfaced to ask for another date.

One who wanted to meet at the local leisure centre. Then changed his mind about meeeting at the last minute.

One who strung me along for a couple of weeks then told me about the date he'd met.

Last weekend's date who seemed keen then disappeared after messaging me to say he was bored. Presumably because I wouldn't entertain him.

And finally the fwb, who also changed his mind.

Maybe that's how it is at my age?
