We all want to think we are someones number 1 choice and when we realise we're not it can sting.

So Mr Talker admitted that when he called me the other night he thought he was calling another girl he's talking to. I know he doesn't owe me anything... but I'm a bit disappointed. I can't judge him as I'm doing the same but he gave me the impression that he was just talking to me. ...

Ouf that's hard. He is an idiot for not dealing with it better last night. I thought that was really rude but I'm sure he didn't expect to be tripped up like that!

I think I'm in the same boat in the sense that I am now talking to several irons because I've been burnt before by just reducing my options. But I'm not at the extreme end of some of the Reddit advice that was summarised. I am human and I want to try to be as open as I can be and honest with people. Especially if I've made up my mind about them eg friend zoned them.

He wasn't embarrassed or ashamed, he fully expected me to sympathise with him and agree how unfair it was that he couldnt just say say what he wanted to say anymore ... he actually genuinely said,"they" were taking over and "we" would be in the minority soon 🤦🏻‍♀️ and he also said "I'm not racist, my cousin is having a kid with a Chinese guy" .... you couldn't make it up!

However that's got to be officially rock bottom in my dating life now, surely it can't get any worse?? So it's got to be on the up now, right?? Please tell me this is true ...

God I wish we were all a gang IRL and could be hiding around the corner with Chardonnay and chocolates after these awful experiences!!

MrCypriot was a nice way to spend the evening but he was clearly angling for something more. He's nice looking, is a good cook but I just don't fancy him.
Yes, he cooked, he didn't want to go out. He was angling for something and said I was 'smouldering'. But somehow managed to say it without being sleazy. He's a nice guy, I just don't want to sleep with him by mistake.
(Said in a Withnail voice - I can totally imagine sleeping with him and then saying to him 'I seem to have slept with you by mistake') 🤣

That's an awesome idea.

I had a date 0 with Mr penpal near to my office and a good colleague said look if it goes wrong I will be working until 8-9pm just come up here and we'll commiserate.

It went really well though so did the next few dates but now

Mr Pat the postman who went ballistic when I suggested I needed more in the way of messaging has blocked me. No idea why as I’ve not contacted him…..was tempted though sadly.
Mr Garden asked me out this week. I named 2 nights I was free, he replied that he thought I was living in the past and he didn’t think we were compatible because he wanted to date, and I wasn’t making any effort (I’d phoned him yesterday too) 🤷‍♀️
Was messaged by Big Billy today asking what my favourite sexual position would be, and how he was w@nkinf over my profile picture 🤮
Talking to Mr Mod currently who seems ok, but with my track record will probably turn into a lunatic by the morning.

@dancemom yep, that seems like a really horrible date zero. Sorry you had to experience that. At least he has shown you who he is straight away and you can act accordingly!

@Shayelle2009 I've had plumbers and decorators galore round at my flat recently for various household problems. Unfortunately, their average age has been about 21 and I found myself reminding them to put their coats on and use the loo before they left...like a kind of stand in Mum A nice mature hot one once in a while would be welcome 😉

And for all of us dealing with flakes and breadcrumbs...we deserve so much more and need to start believing it and acting like it!

A quick update from me. I had a phone date planned this evening with Mr Accountant, but when I called, it went straight to his answerphone.

I left a message and also messaged him on the Bumble app. So far, tumbleweed.

I think it's probably for the best as I've got a really heavy week going on with work. I'm not chasing him.

I've got one potential with a tentative agreement to message over the weekend, so I'm going to take a break from swiping and join those sitting on the subs bench for a few days 😁
