@iklboo this does not explain your comment about being glad that your husband hates football. Do you think watching a team lose would alter his personality so much that he would turn into an abuser?

Dh and both my sons love football and are disappointed with the result. Their love of football doesn't alter the fact that they find DV abhorrent.

Witnessed it tonight. I live on a non-eventful street but tonight heard a commotion and a frightened, crying woman was telling an football-shirted man repeatedly that she didn’t have his phone. He then shoved her head to the side aggressively. She was pushing a buggy. Reported it to the police.

@AdoraBell misses the point compeltely. Liking football doesn't make you a domestic abuser. Your DH is either an abuser or not. Liking football wouldn't change that.

This is nothing to do with football, and everything to do with vile sub-human abusers using any excuse they can to be abusive. Blaming football is both illogical and unhelpful.
