Support needed for facing my horribly abusive ex

We went our earlier to do a food shop and she had a massive melt down and behaved so naughtily.. I'm embarrassed to say this but I actually burst into tears at the checkout. The lady was so sweet, she took DD and sat her down and showed her how to scan the shopping whilst another lady packed. Felt so silly. But really struggling with everything.

Pebble don't feel bad, you are going through the most trying and stressful time

Is there anyone you can speak to in RL just now?

Oh Pebble, it's no wonder, it's all a bit much and you have been under a lot of pressure, you are bound to break down crying sometimes.

I know you were probably embarrassed but maybe try to think of it in a positive light, how nice the checkout staff were to you and DD? (sorry if that's sounds sappy).

Hopefully not long to wait now.

Can't sleep tonight. Wave of nausea keeps washing over me and have a sinking feeling in my stomach.
I'm scared that the judge will push contact up to weekly also in the interim whilst a section 7 is underway. So scared about everything.

Stay strong, Pebble. You and your DD have been through so much. I am wishing you both peace.

Your brain is giving you all the possible worst case scenarios. It thinks this is a protective mechanism because if it’s already shown it to you maybe it’ll be easier to handle if it happens. That just stresses you out and steals your sleep though, as you know! Try forcing it to imagine only the best case scenarios for a set amount of time, just to remind yourself that one of those could happen too, and be kind to yourself. You have done everything you possibly could under the circumstances you were in at the time. You live your daughter immensely, which is the most important thing she needs, and you both survived first that relationship and then the process you’ve just been through. There is always hope.
