They aren't his kids, which makes a difference. If they were, I might find it harder to get them away iyswim.

Calm down TFM! Shove something up his nose instead

Cashncarry · 30/12/2007 23:18

Hi post copied from post natal - Happy New Year Teabags next year is the year we fix our lives
The gorgeous Lily was born by planned section on Fri 28 Dec at 9:36am at a wopping 8lb12oz - she really is quite delicious will post some photos as soon as...the section went well- quite daunting but I think they specialed me being medical - had consultant anasesthetist, obs and paeds around and was quite calm and controlled really .....the post natal care on the other hand....
We came home Sunday afternoon - thank goodness - the ward was quite literally hell (9 beds with 9 screaming babes , poor nurse and midwives run off their feet)...
Quite shocked by how sore and incapable I am - othewise I feel good so struggling with the lack of mobility bending lifting etc...
My H is trying I think but situation is so awkward anyway - trying to concentrate on my 2 wonderful girls and getting back to normal so he can disappear again....
Lily is a great baby quite calm and placid doesn't really cry and other than feeding every 1-2 hours overnight she is a dream...hoping this will settle as my milk settles ....her big sis DD1 is being a star as well and very good and helpful ...
Am a happy mummy and looking forward to a good 2008 ...thank you all of you for being a constant source of support encouragement laughter and strength - and I hope we will get a chance to meet up in 2009

Paddlechick666 · 31/12/2007 16:45

i'm still up for an easter jaunt......

thanks for the update, sounds like you're doing really well. i was glad to get home after my c-sect too. am sure you'll be surprised at how quickly you regain mobility.

happy new year to you all, echo what Mac said. the teabags have been my salvation at times this year.

here's to a bright new year for us all.

TimeForMe · 31/12/2007 17:10

Congratulations Mac! What a lovely post and what a wonderful end to 2007. Thanks to baby Lily we can end it on a high with you. Thank you for sharing with us.

Happy New Year everyone!! You are all amazing, each and everyone of you. I never thought i would hear myself say that I am glad my relationship ran into trouble, for if I hadn't have been googling for advice I wouldn't have stumbled across MN and wouldn't have met all you wonderful ladies.

Here's to a year of love, fun and laughter!

Cheers everyone and THANK YOU!! XXX

PS PC If you place a bowl of salt on your window sill taht should help with the condensation. You can actually buy window sill dehumidifiers and they work a treat

Lily, some babies like staying where its cosy!

I had a really strange dream last night - I gave birth! It was extremely graphic - is this significant in a new year way, or have I just been reading too many posts from people with babies?

TimeForMe · 01/01/2008 16:55

Hi everyone and a Happy New Year from me too

When is your actual due date lily? Is it very soon? I'm loving all these babies! Yours is going to be a nice little surprise package cos we don't know what you are having. Be sure to let us know as soon as things start and we can send you good puffing, panting and pushing vibes

lilyloo · 01/01/2008 18:37

Ooh Fusby dreaming of babies does mean something here
Will def pop on when anything happens am still hoping for home waterbirth so should have chance to speak to you all whilst it's happening

Fubsyinapeartree · 01/01/2008 19:24

Ha - better get on the dating sites and find a rich man eh?

lilyloo · 02/01/2008 08:20

Morning all well not sure what happening here!
Went to bed last night and was woken with contractions at about midnight and then started being sick!
This lasted until about 2.00 when i managed to fall back to sleep. I then woke again about 3.00 and was sick again and needed to use the toilet but then the contractions wore off again and am now sat here very tired although managed to have another hour os so sleep this am!
This was how things started with dd and i am sick when in labour but then the contractions continued getting steadily worse so not use to this.
Will keep you all posted and will have to decide whether dp should go to work or not
Just copied this from my Jan thread so will keep you all posted !

Paddlechick666 · 02/01/2008 08:51

morning lily, sounds like things are on the move!

would deffo keep dp at home today if i were you - you could use the rest i'm sure anyway.

my mate was in on/off labour for 3 days in december which was exhausting but she had a beautiful baby girl at home in the afternoon of day 3.

my other friend visited with her 3 week old ds yesterday. poo'd all over my the new sofa in dd's room!!! very cute but funnily enough i didn't get broody!

happy new year everyone else, hope all okay.

my first mortgage payment went out yesterday! i am feeling quite relaxed in my new home now 1.5 weeks off work and dd and i have a lovely routine going - shame i have to go back to work tomorrow

keep us posted lily!
