Hi. Im feeling abit insecure at the mo, OH works away in the week and all I can think about for the past couple of weeks is porn and I don't like the idea of him looking at it. I don't know why. Obviuosly I know he looks at it, just like everyother tom dick and harry! I have some but for me to look at it is fine in my head. Can someone reasure me and make me feel better please?

Actually I'd like to do double penetration. I also squirt. Hardly makes me degraded.

I saw animal farm in GCSE English... wonder what my teacher was into????

Tortington · 20/09/2007 01:01

it depends on whether you actually see those things as humilitation.

i dont necessarily.

And i dont think the undefined quantity of "a lot of men" actually do.

i think they like varied forms of fucking.

nappynuttynormabutty · 20/09/2007 01:02

Actually I am interested to know how female ejaculatin is humiliating to a woman???/

Lauriefairycake · 20/09/2007 01:02

Come on guys answer Elizabeth - isn't it ghastly that women are talked to like that in porn films?? Pretty nasty underlying message in those words??

Elizabetth · 20/09/2007 01:03

I don't really want to hear about it norma and please don't do it on my account. I was just noting that the anal penetration thing seems to be pretty skewed towards women despite the fact that men have anuses too.

Lauriefairycake · 20/09/2007 01:03

sorry x posted, ignore

Tortington · 20/09/2007 01:04

oh give me a break. its not Jane austin.

i also remember some prety foul lnaguage fromt he women too.

its kinda inplicit.

if you want somthing different i sugges the hallmark chanel and a mills & boon.

Tortington · 20/09/2007 01:04

am off to bed - will argue more tomorrow

nappynuttynormabutty · 20/09/2007 01:05

No, it's not nasty. FFS it's acting in the first instance. I couldn't care less what people call me.

Don't worry Elizabetth I doubt I'll be taking sex advice from you. You did seem quite keen for my dh to take it up the arse earlier tho.

nappynuttynormabutty · 20/09/2007 01:06

Right off for a fuck...a rough, degrading, humiliating one apparently...still I'll enjoy it.

Lauriefairycake · 20/09/2007 01:06

LOL at the Hallmark channel

I guess the words used (bitch, slut, whore cunt) communicate to me a lack of respect and it appears to be constant

Elizabetth · 20/09/2007 01:10

You seemed to be pretty keen on doing it too norma. Maybe you do think he deserves to experience it if he's going to do it to you.

As for the misogynistic insults, if anybody called one another those names here we'd be banned, yet apparently it's OK for men who are wanking to women being sexually degraded and humiliated to see them called whres or slts and the same time. Nasty, nasty, nasty.

Elizabetth · 20/09/2007 01:16

Right I'm off to bed too. Here's the thought for tomorrow - it is incredibly weird to see all these women defending misogyny and the men's exploitation of women.

Defending it to the point where they don't care about women being called slts, cnts or wh*res, not caring about them being hurt or exploited, not caring that the women who appear in porn are often very young and vulnerable in many ways. As long as they and their dp/dh are getting off everything is fine.

nappynuttynormabutty · 20/09/2007 09:16

Actually Elizabetth I was keen on doing it to see if it would change your opinion at all. Perhaps if you heard a man was willing to take it up the arse you'd see men in a different light. Is it just the men you know that talk about women as objects?

As for the name calling, if the person is not offended by the names then I don't see there's a problem.

To you being called those names is disrespectful, degrading and humiliating but you also think that of anal sex. Actually I'm interested to know where you draw the line as to what is and what isn't humiliating. Is it everything in porn films is degrading to women? Is it ok to like anal sex if it wasn't inspired by porn? (I ask that because I started having anal before I ever watched porn)

Tortington · 20/09/2007 12:17

the women dont have the sweetest of words to say either

i dont consider it to be mysogyny at all.

am wondering what you think to men licking shoes and being put in cages

and what about whipping and smacked bottoms? hair pulling and biting

i rather think there must be more to your opinion Elisabeth - becuase grown adults - men and women, watching a film say they bought and which was made according to industry regulations.

i dont see sex per se as a devient act and the way you describe it makes it sound so. In fact if i were to have sexual intercourse omitting what you thnk is wrong or devient. it wold be so boring.

curiouscat · 20/09/2007 12:22

I am so bored of reading on this thread how much some of you like anal sex. I'm not impressed or shocked. It makes no difference to Elizabethth's points.

kneehighinnappies · 20/09/2007 12:24

If you are so bored of reading it then don't, bugger off on to a thread where you actually have something constructive to say

nappynuttynormabutty · 20/09/2007 12:24

Elizabetth made the point that because I enjoy anal sex she thinks I have been brainwashed or "forced" to enjoy it because it is degrading and humiliating...I'd like to know why she thinks it is degrading and humiliating and as yet have not had a response. I'd also like to know where she draws the line as to what is humiliating.

nappynuttynormabutty · 20/09/2007 12:26

Oh and I don't think it's impressive or shocking to like anal sex, I think it's perfectly normal.

curiouscat · 20/09/2007 12:55

Hi kneehigh and nappy, I'm saying I agree with Elizabethth and nothing I've read so far has changed my mind. I don't care and am not interested in what turns you porn users on and I'm sure you're not interested in my preferences. I don't see why you have to go on about your bedroom practices as if trying to shock your teacher or something.

But I am interested in the thread and am expressing my support for those who have risked ridicule here by saying how tacky and fake and exploitative the industry is. Simple.

nappynuttynormabutty · 20/09/2007 12:58

It's your opinion that it's fake and tacky and you're entitled to have that opinion. Some people have the opinion that it's enjoyable. As for the exploitation issue I have already covered that point - all it means is that there should be better regulation and enforcement of regulations, it in no way suggests that porn should be banned.

curiouscat · 20/09/2007 13:08

There's no point imo in me saying it should be banned. It's never going to be, the industry is worth more than the arms trade fgs.

The question is how do you support those hundreds of people who are put under pressure to accept a partner's use of it they are not comfortable with. Or who feel insecure because they can't afford a boob job to look like the pornstars/celebs in our culture. We're not talking consenting adults like you. Where do you stand on porn using children and animals? In what way is that ok and fun? I think you're in some very murky water to say 'oh what I like's ok' and then ignore all those other people affected by it.

nappynuttynormabutty · 20/09/2007 13:17

"The question is how do you support those hundreds of people who are put under pressure to accept a partner's use of it they are not comfortable with. Actually if you'd read my previous posts you would see that I have already stated that

a) where people do not like their partners use of porn it should be discussed as with all marital issues ans the couple should come to an agreement that both are happy with (it should not be man wins or woman wins, it should be compromise)
b) As for the insecurities, that's hardly limited to porn. Fashion magazines, films, tv shows, singers - they all influence how women view their bodies. That's not a porn issue, it's a society issue.
c) Using people who can't give consent (animals & children) I have already said is unacceptable. We ARE talking about consenting adults. Again, anything that doesn't involve CONSENT is rape - ILLEGAL. That only goes to strengthen the argument for regulation.

FWIW there are many things that cause pressure on both sides of a relationship...that's not acceptable whether it is watching porn, wanting more children, wanting one person to do all the housework. Those are all issues that require compromise.

curiouscat · 20/09/2007 13:49

Hi nappy to answer your points, and sorry didn't pick them up before on this huge thread,

a) yes totally agree
b) agree.
c) glad you agree on this too

So with porn is what consenting adults do ok and everything else not? It's hard to see the logic of this. You're in a dream world if you think that the internet is adequately policed, that all porn actors enjoy full health and safety protection and so on.

Bleating about improving regulations means that you admit some porn has an unacceptable (your word) side. Who do you think will regulate it? How's a porn actor going to report an abusive pimp to the police without reprisals? Why can't you be realistic about it for once, that's all I'm asking.

MrsMarvel · 20/09/2007 13:58

I would like to add that porn involving vulnerable people should also be illegal. I think that should include women who have been abused as children.
