lilybubble - very good catch up there, I'm impressed!
at you meeting kylie!!

I am going to see this guy again - tonight in fact! He's taking me out for a meal and a few drinks. Nothing has happened with him, and tbh I'm not too sure yet if I want it to - but it's nice all the same. And he's booked a gorgeous restaurant for us so I definitely can't complain!!

Am totally with you on the keeping busy - I am absolutely broke at the moment from going out so much but I'd rather have no money than sit in every night alone! Plenty of time for staying in once we settle down again!

pc sorry you've had such a bad night with dd. Work does seem like a rest sometimes doesn't it!! I hope she's ok.

Ernest you're amazing, I hope you're doing ok. Hopefully sugar will be on today with some ideas of what to do with the boys. Could you pop to shops and get them a few dvds or something - could keep them quiet for an hour or two if they get to pick their favourite films??

lilyloo good to see you how are you doing?

HW is everything ok for you too?

Hi I am fine - our counsellor is seeing us again today and there is so much to catch up on with her.

Baffy you are doing well and you know you are doing the 'right' thing and will have no regrets in the future unlike him and ow.

So busy here getting ready for half term - is it really worth getting the house semi-straight only for it to get trashed on the first day of the holidays?!!!

Baffy · 19/10/2007 11:19

Yep get the house straight - then tie children to the sofa for the week with lots of fruit shoots, chocolate, crisps and endless tv... that way the house will stay completely tidy!

Actually I really would rather do that - I tidy up even as ds is playing, because I hate the house being a mess. >

Thank god for the local park and swimming!

DavidTennantsMistress · 19/10/2007 11:27

just popping into say hiya we're doing ok/getting there, feeling good/glam althou my child will be lucky to live to 2 unless I get serious help for his useless father.

sugar34plum · 19/10/2007 11:27

hi ernest yes gravesend is great for shoes. There is woolworths, shoe fayre, shoe discount debenhams not sure if peacocks do shoes? they are all in town centre and very easy to find. Also there is always blue water if you get stuck.

As for things to do whale of a time is great fun park ( soft play area all indoors) for kids and lovely cos they go off to play and you get to just sit there drink coffee and read a mag!!

If you dont have a sat nav you can borrow mine if you like to get you to all these places? will keep com on and keep checking in

sugar34plum · 19/10/2007 11:51

ernest in english sizes your are looking at a size 7 a size 13 and a size 1. hope that helps x

ernest · 19/10/2007 12:09

hia, I got the shoes this morning, and everyone's hair cut. Can't believe howe brilliant the boys were buying shoes then waiting patiently while 4 people took turns having their hair cut - they-re not normally so good! Fil has gone to work this morning, and sil is coming down, so I'm going to take her to see her mum, don't think she should go alone, she'd probably crash or something.

I'm going to go to Bluewater today or tomorrow to get myself something, I don't think scruffy jeans + t-shirt too appropriate.

Where is whale of a time, I've not heard of it, but I'll check it out, thanks sp. They deserve some fun. Have to get them throught the vicar's visit this am in silence, think tv might come into play somewhere along the line ...

pc sorry about the night terrors, never been through that with mine but it must be pretty horrible

hw, wait until half term then make them tidy it up while you eat chocolate and 'do' mumsnet.

ernest · 19/10/2007 12:13

by the way, sp you are spot on! Those are exactly the sizes I needed (except they only had an 8 so ds3 will have to wair 2 pair of socks or something as he desperately wanted the same shoes as his brothers and I had no time to go elsewhere anyway

just found whale of a time, will def go there, thanks

sugar34plum · 19/10/2007 12:28

Glad you got it all sorted out. Whale of a time is literally 5 minutes from blue water. Mine want to go sometime over half term but i have a chest and sinus infection so i dont think anyone will appreciate my germs!

Bless the kids they can be so quietly understanding and amazing.

Goodluck with the vicar x

Baffy · 19/10/2007 16:41

sugar - hope you feel better soon, that sounds awful

ernest, so glad you got the boys all sorted and bless them for being so good, children are amazing sometimes aren't they.

hope you all have a nice weekend. I probably won't be on now until next week (date with new-date-guy tonight and then possibly a gig or flying visit to London tomorrow )
must try and fit in shopping (3 close friends have had babies in the last week! ) and quality time with ds as well!

hope everyone's ok xx

TimeForMe · 19/10/2007 16:49

Have a lovely weekend Baffy and an equally lovely date tonight xx

HappyWoman · 19/10/2007 18:04

Baffy please come and live with me!! I just wish i could 'catch' OCD for a week or two!!!!!!!

Have a fantastic date tonight and remeber to fill us in on all the details.

I am starting to feel flirty again which is a good sign surely - but sadly still know i could not ever do the deed.

Had a great counselling session today and feel really good about life - and about to have a chinese and a bottle.

Hope you all have a great weekend.

ginnedupumpkin · 19/10/2007 18:41

Ernest - I'm so sorry to hear about MIL. Good on you for being so kind and supportive to your fil. Its nice to see someone on here who actually likes their inlaws. I hope my sons marry women as nice as you.

Go Baffy - enjoy yourself and lap up all the attention. Show H what he's missing!!

Lily at the OW trying to stop h from seeing his dd. My ex's OW is the same and she still won't have anything to do with them and they've been together 4 years now. The difference is that exh sees them on the quiet and takes them to his Mum's because he won't stand up to her. What is it with these women who break up a family and then try to cut the men off from their own children too.

DP has gone out after work tonight for a few pints and has promised me he won't be pissed when he comes home . I'm trying to trust him, but I feel like if I give him an inch he'll take a mile. We'll see what happens.

ginnedupumpkin · 20/10/2007 23:35

I've killed the F&G thread.
Come back everyone!!!

ernest · 21/10/2007 12:07

no, I'm here.

I'll add a bit more cheerful news to the mil funeral stuff if you want. Dh flew in yesterday, so of course I had towait to tell him - I'm PREGNANT

Due 20th June.

OMG

He took it well, thank goodness.

We weren't trying (at least I didn't think so) but not avoiding either iyswim. OMG a while back we tried for number 4 for a year, then gave up. Now it's happening. I can't believe it. He seems to pleased for it to be a shock for him. My 3 boys have been so cute and brilliant with their 3 month old cousin, so I think they'll all be pleased too.

Got my funeral outfit yesterdy

sugar34plum · 21/10/2007 13:15

Ernest congratulations xxxxx

I will not get broody i will not get broody

TimeForMe · 21/10/2007 13:24

OH WOW!!!!

Ernest, that is fantastic news!! I am sooooo pleased for you overjoyed in fact!! xxxxx

Sugar - get broody!!! I'm loving all these babies!!

ginnedupumpkin · 21/10/2007 14:30

That's wonderful news Ernest and what timing! When is it due?

I have to admit to being a tiny bit . Ds2 starts school in January and I can already feel my ovaries twitching!

No more for me though

sugar34plum · 21/10/2007 15:46

No No 6 kids is enough for me thankyou!

TimeForMe · 21/10/2007 16:06

Seven is my lucky number

My ovaries were forced into early retirement after baby number 4

Baffy · 21/10/2007 17:19

Ernest that is fantastic news - I am so so so pleased for you xxxxxx

Date went really well, excellent in fact. Then went to gig last night and had major chat with H - I'm definitely not doing anything socially with him again - and I feel really good about it all.
(There's a LOT more to it - H saw me getting dropped off by the guy who I went out with and went completely mad - broke down in tears and everything!!)

I will fill you in properly later or tomorrow - got a few family issues at the mo...

Catch up later xx

TimeForMe · 21/10/2007 18:24

Oh my gosh Baffy! I cannot wait to hear all of the details!
I have been thinking about you xx

ginnedupumpkin · 21/10/2007 19:32

How very typical, Baffy. Its OK for men to parade their bimbos around for us to see but as soon as we move on and meet someone else its waterworks.

I hope it didn't make you feel bad though.

Its all gone tits up here again and I'm on my own yet again. Can't help thinking its probably for good this time . I put a thing on Facebook about it. Couldn't face coming on here about it all yesterday - too usetting.

Bloody men!
