DanniPops · 14/05/2007 13:42

Fab thread. Making me feel all warm and gooey despite the many arguments in our house at the moment (9 week old and 2.5 yr old dds...)

1 always takes time off work to do things for the children
2 brought me breakfast in bed for much of this last pregnancy
3 always makes me laugh, GSOH
4 loves my friends and makes them feel welcome in our house
5 is a bit like being married to a girl (as long as no sport on TV to spoil the delusion)

BakuJen · 14/05/2007 20:12
  1. He took in myself, my aging mother and my three spinster sisters with nary a murmer when we were turned away from the vicarage after dear Papa passed away.
  2. Despite the horrific injuries he received whilst hunting elephants and tigers in Myanmar, he is still a caring and sensitive lover.
  3. He only spends one evening a week with the scullery maid and produces some wonderful embroidery and knitwear from the times he spends with her.
  4. He makes sure he gives at least two shillings a year to every single child in the village who looks remotely like him.
  5. Even when he got stuck in a terrible snowstorm on his way to the North Pole (via Everest and without a single sherper nor woolly socks) he still had time to pop home and re-start the Aga for me.
  6. He does look rather dashing in his long leather boots, astride his prancing black stallion.....

bumperlicious · 29/05/2007 16:59

My is DH is fab because he

  1. is intelligent and sensitive
  2. tolerant of my moods and whims
  3. thoughtful, especially since I've been pg
  4. never tells me off for spending money on myself
  5. thinks I am beautiful and kind and always tells me so

  7. does housework uncomplainingly and never moans at me if stuff isn't done
  8. is so excited about becoming a dad
  9. yesterday offered to come shopping with me and buy me shoes to cheer me up
  10. is very good a fixing stuff around the house and the computer

Ok, that's 10 but I figured I owed a couple of days worth!

hockeypuck · 29/05/2007 17:31
  1. Did 9 loads of washing when we got back from holiday yesterday while I stayed in hospital with DS and asked how I was when I phoned home, not just how ds was
  1. Read DD a story when they visited the hospital this morning using all the silly voices she loves despite the fact that there were other people listening in too

  2. Is out in the garden now teaching DD to throw a ball because she wants to play basketball since she saw High School Musical

  3. Says appreciative things to me about my rough night with DS and is thankful that I let him sleep at home while I was on camp bed on ward

  4. Has just washed and sterilised the bottles that I forgot I had started without saying anything

Amazing how when you have a really pooey week you still have someone so lovely and thoughtful

Mumpbump · 29/05/2007 17:45

I am pg at the moment after two m/c so sex is taking a rather low priority at present, but...

  1. Gives excellent hugs (and snogs from time to time)...
  2. Cuddles me at bedtime every night and even comes and tucks me up (how sad!!) when he stays up later than me...
  3. Very high energy, focused, hard-working and creative
  4. Devoted father
  5. Hilarious, whacky sense of humour
