really this thread should be sent out to all men : five steps to marrying the woman of your dreams and keeping her happy.

it really is just the simple things, like making me laugh (corny as though that might be) which really turns a date into hubby material!!

ChelseaBlagger · 10/05/2007 16:56

Don't have a DP/H, but here's my top 5 things I like about men (I'm not going to be left out, no not me)

1 - they are usually bigger than me
2 - they can open jars and bottles when I can't
3 - they usually don't mind getting rid of spiders and moths and things
4 - they can be quite nice to look at and touch
5 - life would be very dull without them

Mossie · 10/05/2007 16:58

He is a great cook
He is very funny and makes me laugh
He always leaves work early / on time now I am on maternity leave
He is great for intelligent conversation...

... and if a present is ever required, he knows I'd much prefer a Doctor Who DVD to flowers and chocolates!

draven · 10/05/2007 19:15

Ladies

You are all very lucky, and being single, you have reminded me what to look out for in the next Mr Right.

Durdle · 10/05/2007 19:26

This is a great thread. It made me well up! Me and DP have only been together a few months but here goes (in no particular order):

  1. He is a fantastic SD to my DD and loves doing the school run and cooking her dinner and doing cutting and sticking and drawing and is always really interested in what she has to say (and he does all this so I can go to work and pursue my career)
  1. I don't feel like a single parent anymore
  1. He gets up in the morning and makes me tea and toast before work and runs me a bath when I get home from dealing with stinky people all day
  1. He helps out with the housework
  1. He is gorgeous, funny, creative, patient, understanding, caring, he's not a psychotic maniac and I hope I can keep him forever.
