Saw this thread and, although I've not posted on MN before, simply had to. Because...

  1. she lets me be who I am, and to say what I think, and welcomes my honesty, and supports me in my career;
  1. she is such a good mother to our children - and yet she always thinks she should be doing better;
  1. she is full of sound advice; when she ventures to comment, it's a memorable bit of wisdom;
  1. she makes me laugh, and cares about me in my illnesses
  1. she has such soft skin... you can guess the rest
Leoness · 11/05/2007 09:36

If i'm not too late

My DP

  1. Is so brilliant with our DS and his DS1.. always making both of them laugh....in fact there's always plenty of laughter in our home.
  2. He takes DS in the morning so I can have a lie in, then later brings me juice and a cup of tea.
  3. Great Kisser and he says he loves me many times a day.
  4. Does the lions share of the laundry keeps things tidy and has learnt to cook exceptionally well in the last year from bolognese to chilli crab linguine...yum-my!
  5. If I do occasionally get out for a drink with the girls he has a bath run for me when I get back so I don't have to go to bed smelling like the pub!

do I have to stop at 5?

Ifonlyhewould · 11/05/2007 10:27

Fisherking - that's lovely to read. I think this is one of the best threads on Mumsnet for a long time. Now for my DH:

  1. He tells me he loves me
  2. He loves the kids to pieces
  3. He plays with the children, helps with any homework and it's never a problem
  4. He's hot
  5. He's my best friend

And I could go on and on - he's doesn't mind how much I buy on craft (well almost)!!

Aufish · 11/05/2007 12:18
  1. has taken me and my 4 kids on without any previous experience!
  2. he has taken the x husband on in court and will fight our corner against him at any point.
  3. he tells me he loves me every day
  4. he has helped me with my battle against bulimia and with success.
  5. he helped me find my dad!
WindUpBird · 11/05/2007 12:29

This is such good thread! I take my dh for granted far too much and often 'forget' how fab he is so..:

  1. Makes me feel 'safe' in a 'this is where I am meant to be' kind of way
  2. We have fab conversations
  3. He knows lots about current affairs, politics, world news etc, I used to know nothing and now it's nice not being so ignorant :-)
  4. He has no interest in art, museums etc, but we always have fun (I think?!) when I drag him round another exhibition
  5. He's good at dancing! (i.e. dancing round the kitchen, not the tango or anything)
allgonebellyup · 11/05/2007 12:30
  1. amazing with my dd and ds(dd not his)
  2. cleans the house top to bottom for fun
  3. goes out of his way to buy my fave chocs
  4. doesnt mind that i go out lots with my friends and he never goes anywhere!
  5. sorts out my car when its buggered

now the bad points:

  1. i asked him to move out in March following a year of rows
  2. he has moved out for good and isnt coming back!!
Ifonlyhewould · 11/05/2007 12:33

Ah Ah bad points not allowed on this thread, positive only please
