WideWebWitch · 09/05/2007 20:20

He's my best friend
but we fancy each other like mad (I only put that in to annoy cod)
he's intelligent
he's calm and reasonable
I trust him
he's fantastic with the children adn can look after them as well as I can (and did so on his own for 6 months while I worked away)
he regularly says "what can I do to make you happy?"

he's good in bed
he makes me laugh
he's tall
he's thoughtful
he learns - if I say I don't like X he'll remember I said it
but he's tough enough to tell me to shut up if I'm talkng crap/being unreasonable
sorry, that's way more than 5 innit?

Great thread, I needed to do this as we are having a bumpy patch after house move, new baby and new job all within 3 weeks. I think I may write a few of these down and put them under his pillow.

MissGolightly · 09/05/2007 20:51

sob sob, what a sweet thread. Welling up a bit and thinking of about 50 more reasons I love DP.

(BTW I have just read out to him the lines that I think he could work on, like "brings me green and blacks and wine after I've had a hard day".

  1. THE kindest and most compassionate man I've ever met.
  2. Incredibly intelligent, well read, and thoughtful
  3. Pulls 50% of the parenting weight: gets up and gives ds breakfast every day, does bedtime every night, is involved with all of it from more than his share of nappies way back when to really being in touch with every aspect of ds's life now.
  4. So patient with me and my moods/foibles
