Nice to hear from you OSJ

You sound a little weary but it's so good to hear you say that you feel you can "see the other side" because that's a huge step forward. It won't happen overnight but that glimmer of light was not even on the horizon when you started this thread and, together with the progress you're making with your Relate counsellor, is really good news. (BTW did you ever make a formal complaint about nodding-off Nora at the surgery?)

Still thinking about you & the family and hope things work out as you would like. Keep strong & stay in touch

BandofMothers · 25/03/2007 08:33

Glad you're feeling better OSJ.
Sounds hopeful. I think I might go to Relate with dh if he'll go. Otherwise I foresee insurmountable problems!!

Was nice to see you in the bar last night. You didn't stay long tho.
WW, wasn't that other thread funny. MNetters never look like I think they will when I see a picture. Are you 2 going to the June Meet up in Brum???

willywonka · 25/03/2007 13:23

Hi Both

Couldn't stay last night BOM, too much rl admin to do incl. car insurance quotes - whoop di f*ing do. Anyway reckon if I'd have stayed for too long I'd be joining you at Relate because dh already thinks I have an MN boyfriend...!

The Brum meet up sounds fun but thinks it's unlikely I'll go. Will be seven months gone by then and it's just that bit too far to go for a night out (even with the option of staying over).

Speak soon

BandofMothers · 26/03/2007 19:36

LOL. Tell him you have a MN girlfriend and watch him go

willywonkasegghunt · 26/03/2007 21:20

LOL BOM though he'd probably ask to watch us post together !

BTW - sorry if my Relate comment of yesterday seemed a bit flippant. It was only after I'd seen your other thread about MIL that I suddenly felt a right insensitive cow

Hi OSJ, not hijacking the thread but was checking in to see how you're doing too!

BandofMothers · 27/03/2007 08:44

Don't think OSJ minds WW, like your easter name, but it's a bit hard to read at first glance think Egg needs a capital letter.
Don't worry about Relate, I was half joking myself, and can't actually remember what I said, but I assume something about trying it!!!

I'm not one to get offended easily!!
And LOL at your DHThink that'd have my dh watching over my shoulder too!!!

willywonkasEgghunt · 27/03/2007 18:47

Is this better?

BTW, I like the fact that if you say "willywonkasEgghunt" quickly, it's very rude

BandofMothers · 27/03/2007 19:37

, How very rude WW.

Hi OSJ - was just wondering how you were getting on and thinking I hadn't seen this on active conversations for a while. I think it's quite common to be at sea for a while when you do counselling as it does stir stuff up.

I don't know much about rekindling the spark as I still find dh gorgeous and want the intimacy of physical contact, even if I no longer want to jump him. At least if you decide to draw a line underneath your relationship, it will hopefully be for the right reasons.

Hmm, Thanks WW. Need some of that gum that has a whole meal in it some days, don't you. I do!!!
Lovely, lovely chocolate>

willywonkasEgghunt · 29/03/2007 11:35

It's a great concept but am still having problems with the recipe on that one, particularly with the blueberry pie...wouldn't want you to suffer the same fate as Violet Beauregarde!!

Hi OSJ!! Great to hear from you. Just an average weekend at the Wonka factory really...dd was running a temp of 40.7C last night and I took a call to say that my workplace was on fire !!

Apparently it was a f*ing great big fire in a storeroom next to my office that took fifty fire fighters a couple of hours to control. No one is hurt so everything else is irrelevant really. Colleague went in today said that it could have been worse though sounds like there's quite a lot of smoke damage. Will just have to check things out on Monday. Until then, I've got dd to worry about (though she seems well & truly on the mend today ). My previous office was destroyed in the Manchester bomb, so am beginning to think I may not be employable by anyone else ever... . (Sorry to hijack but I had to tell someone the news of my weird weekend and am not sure that anyone else would give a stuff - have managed to kill far too many threads this week!!)

Hope you are doing OK, OSJ? Things will take time however they may be destined to work out, so I don't think your "all at sea" experience is unusual. Just hope that you are feeling more at ease with yourself and dh in the near future.

BTW love the new name BandofBunnies, incl. the fact that we can call you Bob!! Also, meant to ask what you decided to do last weekend about seeing MIL? Realise that this was on another thread and haven't got the patience to go looking .

Hello to you both and hope we (eventually) manage to cross paths again soon. x

willywonkasEgghunt · 31/03/2007 22:46

Must now apologise for the unnecessary length of my last post

BandofBunnies · 02/04/2007 11:16

Tis nice isn't it. Think this thread has become a way to catch up on OSJ's news and chat to each other really hasn't it. Hop OSJ doesn't mind!!!

I wasn't going to go to MIL's was going to drop off girls and go Tesco shopping, but instead of the normal noon, lunch they decided 2pm, so by time were finished it was shut (4pm on Sunday). So ended up going when DH put me on the spot, and didn't want to be grade A bitch.
Anyhoo, she IS being UBER nice now as she feels REALLY bad.

Twas also my birthday (30) on Sat 31st, so had a lovely day of being spoilt. Mum took me out while DH had dc's. Had lunch, went shopping and got nice new jeans. And she took me to get my hair cut (had been well over a year) Which looks groovy. Then she babysat while DH took me to gorgeous logcabin restaurant and had LOVELY dinner. Proper food-hhhmmmmmmmm.

So I had a great weekend!![smug]

BandofBunnies · 02/04/2007 11:17

excuse the crap spelling!!!!

willywonkasEgghunt · 02/04/2007 11:31

Hi OSJ!! Realise that there are unlikely to be huge developments week on week as there was but still checking in to see how you are!!

Congratulations on the not-very-big 3-oh, Bob!

Love to all

ohsmellyeasterbunnies · 02/04/2007 14:19

Right that's it, have had to go for new Easter name - not that I suffer from peer pressure or anything . Doesn't have quite the same effect as your 2, lol .

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@HAPPY BIRTHDAY@@@@@@@@@ BOB!! Glad you enjoyed your day, sounds ideal. It's so nice to get a bit of time to yourself and go shopping or whatever without the dc's for a change.

You're right this thread is a bit of a catch up place but that's really cool, and I certainly don't think either of you are hijacking anything!!!!!!!!!!! It's great to come on MN and first thing I do is check up on this!!

WWEG, what's happened at your work? Sounds awful, hope it's all ok. Hope dd is better too bless her.

Anyone have any Easter plans? It's ds's 4th birthday next Tues so looking forward to that & especially having a 2 day working week next week
Bye for now x
