I wish we'd done that, DP was actually gutted 😂 I have a batman and Skye and Chase from Paw Patrol we didn't go round the doors, but my neighbours brought sweetie bags round and then we went and hid at my mum and dads haha. What did your brother dress up as? Ugh I hate this time of year, it's just money and stress and crap weather!

Hiiii yeah everything's fine, it's LittleCapes' first birthday today and I'm massively a bit emotional though 🙈 Ha

Oh and I'm currently living in a florist with all the flowers Ex has sent me 🙄🙄🙄

Don't fall for the flower routine as its a set up to appease you to letting him back in that's what abusers do and he is an abuser. I'm a mean bitch and would return to sender every time and not have them there as a reminder. In fact I'd be fucking fuming at the balls of the man to send them after what he did.

I'm sure you won't fall for the flowers routine but it might be worth sending him a text asking him to stop, something along the lines of Runrabbits suggestion above. I'd pay good money to watch Nigel insert the flowers into XP, hoping they are very thorny roses

Yes it's been chaos round here these last 2 weeks, I snuck a night out in in the week 🙈 And then obviously BabyCapes' birthday, school discos which for some reason I decided to volunteer at (tooooo many kids!) we had a party last night as a Birthday/Bonfire party, we had birthday cake and games and also sparklers and fireworks so that was lovely
Today the house is a tip, we're eating leftover party food for lunch and then I'm taking the kids to a bonfire at a cricket club later - all by myself 😳! I feel a bit wierd about that, I always have another adult with me, but I'm making myself do it, I've got to get used to these things haven't I

We're good thanks, kids are like cats in a bag while I'm trying to get the house ready for DS1s pals coming tonight to watch the fireworks.

His Birthday was good, he wasn't interested one bit though, still has presents unopened he just didn't want them, all he wanted was balloons and crisps (can't say I blame him) I might reeeaaaallly his presents in Xmas paper 🙈 Ha!

You'll be amazed at the things you will do with your children on your own. I understand how daunting it can be but it soon becomes wonderful and you start making memories that are just your own...

There was a thread on here once about this and the first poster had taken her DC to Ibiza where they'd danced on the beach as the sun came up... the first few times are tough but you'll find your rhythm (I won't post flowers as sounds like you have plenty!)

Oh that's lovely Ross I don't know about taking them on holiday alone, just taking them to the supermarket is scary enough! But I don't want them to miss out on things just because I couldn't find another adult to come, so hopefully tonight will go smoothly and not put me off forever!

Oh I binned most of the flowers yesterday too, they were getting on my nerves and after someone on here said it, all I could think of when I looked at them was 'what a waste of money'

It sums our two youngest up!!! DD is a right grump today, they're scrapping at the tiniest thing 😂
Out the front of ours is a massive green so there's always a bit of an unofficial piss up bonfire and we can happily see it in the front garden without getting involved, so DS1s pal has been coming with his mum and sister since they started school. They love it!!!

I don't know why that says really up there ^ I meant rewrap stupid phone!
Oh that sounds brill, all the fun and none of the clean up!

My thoughts exactly! A few happy meals, some munchies and put into the garden until it's time for bath and bed
The local official fireworks always turns into a mass brawl by about 8pm so I wouldn't even attempt to go there, let alone take the kids. The one at ours does too, but not til later 😂

Hope the XP hasn't been mucking you about... Glad you chucked the flowers! My XP has refused to take one of his hoodies, probably because he thinks I'll wear it and feel all nostalgic if he doesn't take it back by new year I'll take it down the charity shop

I'm sure you'll be fine on your own at the bonfire you might bump into someone you know anyway. If it's local there'll probably be some of the DCs friends there and they can run about together whilst you have a chat
