Just checking in to see how you are capes? Hoping you have some nice weekend plans as I know last one was difficult.
Also-what wise Mix said...Flowers for Friday. ( my dad used to bring my mum home flowers every Friday eve, so I'm passing it on Smile).

NoCapes · 23/09/2016 21:42

Aww what a lovely Friday tradition, I actually bought myself a little bunch of flowers today, maybe I'll make it a weekly thing FlowersSmile

Yes I've made some plans for this weekend - ExP is taking the kids for lunch and to a soft play tomorrow so I've made an appointment to go and get my eyebrows done and I'm going to shave my legs (haven't had a chance to do that since July! I've bought 2 packs of razors Blush )
Then I've bought some baking supplies for Sunday morning baking with the kids, and my friend who moved to another city that I mentioned is coming round for tea and cake in the afternoon Smile

So feeling much more positive going into this weekend - even in I have to see him tomorrow Hmm

Yay sounds like you're going to have a good weekend Smile

GiddyOnZackHunt · 23/09/2016 22:34

Checking in capes and am pleased you have plans that sound good for body and soul :)
You've done so well. Getting through the wobbles is good going.
Friday night Flowers

NoCapes · 24/09/2016 11:23

So he picked them up this morning ... He looked good
Really really good

Why do they always get hotter when they're not yours anymore Envy hmph!

On the plus side of life I'm going out, out out next Saturday with my school mum friend and her friends (I've met a few of them before)
I haven't been out out in about 2 years!! As she was inviting me she really made it clear that it was a casual jeans and heels kind of night too, so I think she got my anxiety about it, also her clarifying really made me feel like she actually wanted me to go (I have a thing about thinking whenever I'm invited anywhere it's out of politeness and I feel like a charity case)
So I'm going Grin eee!

Yay!! Sounds like you're starting to get your own life back!!

And he looks hotter because you're not putting up with his shit! When he's being a slob around your house he makes himself unattractive to you. He's still like that now, but because you're not seeing it, he's better looking now. Its all psychology Grin But when you find a decent guy, he will look good when you're with him too, because the way he acts around your, your home and your DC, will make him look even more attractive!

ohfourfoxache · 24/09/2016 11:36

Oh capes that all sounds awesome Grin

What's that they say about judging a book by it's cover? He made look good but it's like putting glitter on a turd. It may look good but, you know, it's a turd.

Doublemint · 24/09/2016 11:37

He might be good looking but his personality is butt ugly.

And yay for a girls night out out! you are freeeeeeee!!!!!!

madgingermunchkin · 24/09/2016 11:43

He's done it deliberately because so far you haven't taken his bait.

It's another ploy. Stay strong.

GiddyOnZackHunt · 24/09/2016 11:57

Agree with others. If he was still at your house he wouldn't be looking so good. Hopefully that means he's been sensible and not had a late night so he's ready for the dc. But you and we know he wouldn't be doing any of this if you hadn't stood up for yourself.
You know he's made a token effort before and it slips quickly.
So far those legs defuzzed. Go through YOUR wardrobe (2 weeks ago you didn't have a wardrobe) and pick out something to wear next week. Make sure it's all clean and ready to throw on. If you've lost weight, check it fits. And have a sandwich.
I don't think the other mum thinks your a charity case btw. More likely she knew you'd be unable to come out before.

NoCapes · 24/09/2016 12:05

Yep you're all right - he's just a sparkly turd!

Giddy I have lost weight, hope I've got something!
I'm currently lay with dye in my eyebrows, I'll have a look through my stuff when I get home - I don't actually own any heels anymore though Blush I'll have to buy some

sky I'm so sorry I haven't been on your thread much, I have a million and one things going on (and I knew this lot would take care of you anyway Smile) but I have been reading your updates and cheering you on, you are doing soooo much better than me, I am so so proud of you you're amazing GrinStar

Zeusette · 24/09/2016 12:19

I've been reading but haven't posted yet your doing so well capes enjoy your night out you deserve it 💐

GiddyOnZackHunt · 24/09/2016 12:36

Yes! Get some new heels. Raise yourself up :) Even cheap shoes will do with the gel pads.

skyyequake · 24/09/2016 13:36

Definite yes to retail therapy Grin I bought myself some boots online because they were on sale (£9!) with free delivery!

I've noticed I've lost some weight too... Don't know if it's noticeable but my jeans feel less snug Grin I've still got a lot of baby weight left from pg though so I've got some to spare for the stress!

Glad you're treating yourself!

And I am NOT doing better than you! If you look back to where you were last week it was all new and you were getting through stuff so quickly, now its slowed down for you and you're still doing great at finding the new normal Smile give me a week and I'll be on my thread going "but he looks so niiice" and you'll be having to give me a shake Grin

Have fun on your night out Flowers

ohfourfoxache · 24/09/2016 13:48

Ooh Skyy - linky? Grin

I'm a sucker for boots Blush

Shayelle · 24/09/2016 13:56

Glitter on a turd.. Must remember that one.. 😂😂😂

skyyequake · 24/09/2016 13:57

They're on JustFab as part of their VIP thing, 75% of your first item which reduces most of them to £8-10 Smile

Shayelle · 24/09/2016 13:57

Cant wait to hear all about your night out Capes!! New shoes too woop woop 😘

Hidingtonothing · 24/09/2016 14:02

I have Paolo Nutini 'New Shoes' going round in my head now, might be a good one to start a new playlist with, uplifting sings for Capes (and Sky's) new life Grin

Hidingtonothing · 24/09/2016 14:03

songs, not sings Blush

ohfourfoxache · 24/09/2016 14:05

Thanks Sky Grin

FeckTheMagicDragon · 24/09/2016 14:20

I've got a wedding to go to - I'm plus size jeans/trousers loose top person. I currently have £500 worth of clothes and shoes I would never wear (and can't actually afford) in my online shopping. I'm not actually going to buy them - and I wouldn't actually wear them all - I'm just dithering.

myfriendnigel · 24/09/2016 15:12

Night out is just the ticket.good good.Wine
