DH has gone missing

Name changed for this as I don't want this attached to my usual name.

Long story short DH (and his friend) has gone missing and I have no idea what to do!

He went out to friends on Sunday evening around 6. He called at 9ish said he was staying out but would be home approx 10am Monday morning.
All fine as he didn't have work etc etc.
I had a message from his friend st around 2pm Monday saying that DHs phone has died and that DH is really sorry he is late but he'll be home by tea time.
Since then no one has seen or heard from DH or his friend.
I've checked the police custody suite, hospitals, as many friends that I can think of and been round to friends house but obviously no one was there.
I'm worried sick, I can't sleep, can't eat and my anxiety is only letting me think the worst has happened.

I know this is about ranty, sorry for that! I just needed to talk about how scared I am. Can anyone think of a logical explanation to where they could have got to? I need abit of hope that he's okay!

I think the fact that they're both missing would give me a bit of hope.

Could they be on a massive bender?

Sorry OP, I worded that badly. I just meant that it would be so much worse if your DH was missing on his own, IMO.

That's definitely possible but I think unlikely as DH only has keys and (now dead) phone on him. He left his wallet at home.
Fingers crossed we have an explanation like that though!

Must be awful for you. Can you report him as missing yet? Has he ever done anything like this before? ((((HUGS))))

No nothing like this at all before! The staying out til next morning happens and isn't unusual but this is so out of character. If he is out for longer than expected he has always always let me know what's happening. Apparently it's also very unusual for the friend too as he's never off his phone (so I'm told)

Yes we have an 18 month old baby. DH adores him and its even more unusual that he'd go this long without seeing him

Wild guess. Would they have gone to the football?

TBH I'd have reported him missing on Monday.

Sorry, yes I could report him missing but after speaking to the officer when I called custody suite I was told that they couldn't actually do much more than I'd already done and that he hasn't actually been missing that long. So I said I'd leave that for now but will report in a day or so if still no sight of him

OP I can't imagine how stressful this is for you - have you reported him missing yet?

ETA Why does he stay out all night especially if you have a small baby?

You must be out of your mind with worry, I hope he turns up. Might he have taken a bank card but left his wallet? Have you checked if he's made any transactions?

Football is a no I think as DH hates it but not sure where the friends opinion lies on it. So maybe?
The plan at the minute is to do the missing persons report of he's not home by tea time tomorrow. Will definitely be doing it then if I do t hear anything.

He stays out because He doesn't go off to friends very often at all and works hard so I don't mind him staying out of he wants too

What are his friend's circumstances - is he single, married ?

Bank cards still in his wallet blue, I checked when I was looking see if he'd taken his wallet

do you know where they were when you got the message on monday?

have they got transport - a car?

Do you have any access to his Internet banking? I've left my card at home before and transferred money via my app to a friend to withdraw for me. Could you see if he's done that?

Have you been in contact with friends family are they concerned?

Friend is single as far as I know.
No transport, I've got the car and friend doesn't drive.

I don't have any access to his banking but if both of their phones are dead I'm sure he would've been able to do that anyway I don't think?

So, he just went round to his friend's on Sunday to hang out (as had no cash or cards on him), then decided to stay over, it's now early Thursday and you haven't heard anything since Monday? I think I would be asking the police to break into the friend's house.
Should he have been at work at all this week?
If he has gone to France he would have needed his passport. Is it missing?

Does this seem out of character for him OP?

Any issues at work that perhaps he has been afraid to mention? It might be worth trying to speak to his boss.

Any chance that he may have run up some debts?

Can you access his email, social media account, bank account?

I'd have reported him missing Monday night and would not have taken any crap about it 'not being that long'.

I hope he turns up soon with some stupid excuse & you give him both barrels.
