Shall I report my neighbours?

Didn't know where to put this.

No previous problems with them. They are having a party and smoking cannabis.

They might know it's me, and I don't want repercussions. Am I being petty?

What do you want to report them for and to whom ?

DuvetDayEveryday · 04/06/2016 21:25

Seriously? It's 9.30 on a Saturday night.

CrazyDuchess · 04/06/2016 21:26

What in particular is bothering you?? Is it the smell or the noise??

cheesecadet · 04/06/2016 21:29

The cannabis!! duvet you smoke it do you?

OP posts:
DrunkenMissOrderly · 04/06/2016 21:30

For that? Christ no. Unless there's a drip feed coming?

Kr1stina · 04/06/2016 21:30

If they are decent neighbours to you, why woudl you do that ?

ThoraGruntwhistle · 04/06/2016 21:31

I don't think anything would be done about it unless they were selling it, would it?

cheesecadet · 04/06/2016 21:31

Kr1stina the police, who else?!

OP posts:
Broken1Girl · 04/06/2016 21:32

Seriously?

DuvetDayEveryday · 04/06/2016 21:33

The police really really aren't going to care about a few joints on a Saturday night. Don't you think they have better things to do?

DrunkenMissOrderly · 04/06/2016 21:33

Don't you think the police might be a little busy on a Saturday evening dealing with actual problems?

RusholmeRuffian · 04/06/2016 21:35

Christ almighty, why would you even consider reporting them? How are they doing any harm to you? I'm glad you're not my neighbour!

FeckinCrutches · 04/06/2016 21:35

There is no way the police are going to come out for someone smoking a joint in their back garden Grin

Gide · 04/06/2016 21:35

Police prioritise calls re seriousness. Stabbing in progress-come right now. Noisy neighbours smoking dope-come out next week. Don't be daft, OP, they have better stuff to deal with, like the DV incident my mate dealt with today.

legotits · 04/06/2016 21:36

Hehe Grin

Tell on me instead.

I'm doing it too

VulcanWoman · 04/06/2016 21:36

People walk the street smoking it, unfortunately nothing can be done, F'in stench.

LondonStill83 · 04/06/2016 21:38

I seriously hope you are joking!

However this thread has made me laugh when I was in a foul mood. If I told you YWNBU would you pinkie promise to call the police and record the conversation verbatim once you finished?

blueskyinmarch · 04/06/2016 21:42

Yes you are being petty. The police won't come out for that.

cheesecadet · 04/06/2016 21:42

Sounds like there a lot of mumsnet junkies out there!!

OP posts:
FeckinCrutches · 04/06/2016 21:44

Junkies? Really?

exWifebeginsat40 · 04/06/2016 21:45

junkies? blimey. you need to get out more.

FeckinCrutches · 04/06/2016 21:45

I'm not a 'Junkie' but I've got enough common sense to know they won't come out for something so trivial.

pointythings · 04/06/2016 21:45

Smoking a joint on Saturday night = junkies? Really?

FWIW I don't touch the stuff, but I don't hoik my judgey pants up around my neck over it either. You really need to wind your neck in and not even contemplate wasting police time with this, OP.

BieneBiene · 04/06/2016 21:46

Ha!

BitterAndOnlySlightlyTwisted · 04/06/2016 21:46

The police won't be interested. It's not a Class A, they're not dealing and if they ever showed up it would be a caution for possession as an absolute maximum.

Saturday evening/nights are quite hectic for law enforcement and they won't thank you for wasting their time. They have a hard enough job as it is without numpty curtain-twitchers distracting them from dealing with the really bad guys.
