Shall I report my neighbours?

Didn't know where to put this.

No previous problems with them. They are having a party and smoking cannabis.

They might know it's me, and I don't want repercussions. Am I being petty?

You can't guess why weed is a different category to heroin or crystal meth? really?

They are all harmful, but because cannabis is class C, people think it's ok to do it.

I don't think the police will do anything though.

I've already said I'm not reporting it. Will it keep them awake all night? I bloody hope not.

there's no such thing as fair trade, ethically sourced dope.

Even home grown ?

No issue with weed but neighbour in flat below me was smoking and growing the stuff. My hallway was stinking. Nah, not cool, hate the smell of the stuff. I called police - not interested. So I just asked them to keep the smell in their flat alone or I'd take it further. Problem solved.

OP if it's just the smoking that's bothering you I'd let it go! If the smell is wafting into your house I'd be rather pissed off and tell them so.

Not sure why they put them in different classes? Really?

Are you being serious? Anyway, I don't think smoking pot all the time is good, but when you put it into context, legal drugs such as alcohol are no better, it's just that someone has decided that one is OK and the other one is not. Often people who bemoan cannabis and say it's so dangerous have no problem with cracking open the vino every night. Neither is good for your body, your relationships, your mood and studies have suggested that alcohol is worse.

In response to a pp, I think the police have an unofficial no-arrest policy when someone has weed just for personal consumption on private property. Put it this way, I doubt they will do a raid if they get a tip-off that someone is having a doobie in the garden.

Op we have the same problem, neighbours who regularly smoke weed - at all hours of the day- and the smell wafts into our garden. I can't stand smoke of any sort to be fair but the smell of weed is absolutely disgusting and when I have a young son playing out in the garden there is no way he or any one should have to be subjected to that. I'm sorry but it's really anti social and horrid.

I've personally seen the effects on two people where they have become really paranoid. And I don't think the effects can be reversed can they, even after stopping?

I wouldn't report it, and I'm not a junkie. The police have better things to do. Pot was decriminalised for one.

The good thing about pot is they'll all pass out soon Grin

Yeah, they'll be ringing the cops at 9:30 on a Saturday about some consenting adults partaking in one little joint next, convinced some major crime is going down.

Report
cheesecadet · 04/06/2016 23:03

lucky so does that mean it's criminally OK to smoke it but not deal? Did it used to be a crime to be in possession?

can i ask a related question that ive been wondering. in these days of e cigarettes can you smoke it through some sort of device so that you dont have to mix it with tobacco and have the harmful effects of nicotine and carcinogens as well?

I catch a train home after work and few times already few guys in work uniform smoked weed on the platform . You are not allowed to smoke cigs on the territory but cheeky bastards smoke this stinky shit in front of decent public and nothing will be done about it even if someone report it

Vaporisers for cannabis are very popular. A lot of cannabis users don't like mixing cannabis with an addictive harmful drug.

Go figure.

How can you smoke cannabis through a vapouriser?? And without nicotine? Baffled!
