Shall I report my neighbours?

Didn't know where to put this.

No previous problems with them. They are having a party and smoking cannabis.

They might know it's me, and I don't want repercussions. Am I being petty?

goddessofsmallthings · 04/06/2016 21:48

What actual harm are your neighbours causing you by having a party Saturday evening/night, OP?

Are you feeling aggrieved because you haven't been invited?

Gide · 04/06/2016 21:48

Lot of mumsnet junkies?! Cos one pp says she's smoking it too? Ha, are you on glue, OP?

PortiaCastis · 04/06/2016 21:48

PortiaCastis · 04/06/2016 22:00

Oops the cat is sp!iffed out?

Iknownuffink · 04/06/2016 22:01

Seriously? Not yet 10 pm and you want to report them for some weed.

Pop round with a bottle and food. Grin

legotits · 04/06/2016 22:02

It depends (the smell)

I'm currently enjoying some blonde resin that smells exactly like good one red leb.

If I were in the UK I would be smoking whatever the dealer had because I can't just pop to the shop.

legotits · 04/06/2016 22:03

Good 'ole^

QuiteLikely5 · 04/06/2016 22:04

On a serious note you are quite within your rights to call 101 and report this.

I would only do so if I felt that they were being a nuisance somehow.

ghostspirit · 04/06/2016 22:08

i dont think you should report.

the party in general would not bother me at all.

but the puffing would really piss me of. but i would put up with it as a one of /once in a blue moon thing. if i was having to smell that crap everyday then no i would not put up with it.

i would come on MN moan about it. then end up doing sweet fa

cheesecadet · 04/06/2016 22:08

I am within my rights yeah, no I don't do illegal drugs and I'm no numpty. Was just asking a question. Just because I don't do drugs, doesn't mean I don't have a life!

Gwenhwyfar · 04/06/2016 22:10

"if i was having to smell that crap everyday then no i would not put up with it. "

It's a regular thing for me. All my neighbours seem to do it and my own flat stinks of it. Of course it's not worth calling the police, but it really isn't nice for the neighbours.

Polyethyl · 04/06/2016 22:17

I'must not impressed by dope smokers either. Yes, I consider them junkies.
My particular irritation is with people who espouse fair trade, ethical buying, but then by drugs. The hypocrisy irritates - there's no such thing as fair trade, ethically sourced dope.

Anyway, no point in calling the police, society thinks taking brain damaging drugs is ok.

StrictlyMumDancing · 04/06/2016 22:18

We called the police on our neighbour in the end - they did nothing. Bear in mind this was the neighbour who threatened to kill our DD when she was 5mo because apparently we'd made some noise whilst moving in a year beforehand Hmm
