Good morning Hush and everyone. What a lovely morning it is.

I'm driving to Wensleydale this afternoon to meet up with an old friend for Sunday lunch. I've covered lot of miles this weekend. I'll be glad to get back to work for a rest tomorrow!

Are you keeping busy Hush? Xx

Hushabyemountain98 · 20/03/2016 11:29

Hi WTAFF. Hope you have a good trip to Wensleydale this afternoon and that you enjoy your lunch with your friend.
I hope you get a rest at work tomorrow!

I am cooking a Cottage pie for my guests for dinner.
I have walked the dogs. The weather is just dull here.
I have bread proving.
So I am trying to keep busy!

Enjoy your day xxx

Hi Kirk,

I hope that you will have a good shift today.
I have made bread every day since this nightmare started.

Good Afternoon. I'm going to sow sunflowers, dahlias, sweet peas, cosmos and nasturtiums. Though probably not all today. Potatoes dauphinoise in the oven.
I can hear my trouser buttons popping! Trying to persuade the kids to come outside. They are like moles!

Chiconbelge · 20/03/2016 14:14

Well done for inviting people for dinner, and yes buy the CD player sounds like a great idea. I was thinking yesterday about music that stirs up your emotions and makes you cry, andmusic that is uplifting and inspiring. I like a bit of Mozart for a cheerful let's get on with it moment! And I've got a lot of pop favourites for that cheerful upbeat feeling - how about "I've got a feeling" by the black-eyed peas? I try to avoid music that makes me feel sad and emotional. So Hush - I raise you Gloria Gaynor!

Hushabyemountain98 · 20/03/2016 14:36

Hi Pisco,

I like the sound of all those flowers.
I love Potatoes dauphinoise.
I am sure it isn't that bad for you!
Getting kids to come outside! That means putting down some electronic gadget!
Good luck with that! xx

OP posts:
PiscoSour66 · 20/03/2016 14:46

I need all the luck with that! It's like an electronic drug. Joking aside, it's a real battle.

Hushabyemountain98 · 20/03/2016 14:53

Hello Chicon. They actually invited themselves as they know how hard I find Sunday's on my own.
I think the CD Player is a good idea. The only thing is I wonder whether I ought to lower my expectations. As I don't want questions to be asked about whether this is a 'normal' purchase?
I really do not know what I should and shouldn't buy.
I am really trying to play the game here.
I know what ever I do a certain person will challenge me.
I am so tired of all this.

I think Gloria Gaynor is quite apt!
There are lots of tunes that make me cry.
I cannot listen to Adele at the moment.
I hope you are having a good day?

I better go and sort this dinner out xx

I'll raise you all

WTAFF · 20/03/2016 17:30

Hi all.

I'm feeling a bit down tonight myself. I have just been thinking back to when I was younger and how much promise lay before me. I could be anything I wanted to be. Now I'm stuck in my chosen career, bogged down by mortgage payments etc.

Also, although I'm not really alone in that I have plenty of family and friends, I feel really alone today (and I've had plenty of company). Weird eh?

I hope everyone is having a better day than me!

Xx

notonyurjellybellynelly · 20/03/2016 17:42

WTAFF, Im sorry you're struggling today, and for what its worth I think its very normal to be lonely when you're in company. xxxx

pizzaeatingmonkey · 20/03/2016 17:59

thanks for your kind wishes, Lush.
Last night I woke up at about 2 with a shocking head ache (luckily I rarely suffer) I left it for an hour and had to give up and take some ibuprofen. I woke up later than normal, ate cereal and had to take couple more, had already arranged to see old school friends so couldn't cry off. I came back about 2 hours ago but have now started shaking, feeling very cold ( I had put the heating on) and not wanting to do anything.
I'm really pissed off as I'm childcare cover for my grand daughter (18 months) tomorrow and can't let them down. I was so looking forward to seeing her as she's so cheerful!
Sorry, very self centred, I hope you're all ok!! x

PiscoSour66 · 20/03/2016 18:01

Hello WTAFF, I agree with notonyur, sometimes you can be sitting in a roomful of people you know and just feel detached, and come away feeling quite lonely. You start thinking how the heck did I get here? How did all this come about? I think it's quite normal, and maybe your questions to yourself might spur you on to do other things if they're really bothering you.
Did you have a good lunch?

notonyurjellybellynelly · 20/03/2016 18:12

There's a very famous quotation about being alone in company but for the life of me I can't remember it.

Maybe someone else will be able to.

Kirk123 · 20/03/2016 18:56

I can't either notonyour , but I understand it completely , I still feel like I levitate over my life , call it surreal , call it lonely in a crowd , it's just thinking , healing , finding myself or redefining myself , it's all sad and weird , my son is back from uni for 2 weeks thank god , he is such good company and loves me , it's sad too as his dad should be with us 😢 But he abandoned us as it's just us now a family of three ❤️

WTAFF · 20/03/2016 19:28

Thanks everyone. Yes, the lunch was lovely. I ate far too much though!

Hope everyone is having a nice evening. Xx

Hushabyemountain98 · 20/03/2016 19:39

Thanks notonyur for the music videos x

Hushabyemountain98 · 20/03/2016 19:46

Sorry WTAFF that you are feeling a bit down tonight.
Do you think you are tired after your busy weekend?
Is there anything you can watch on the TV that will occupy your mind so you do not think too much?
I hope that you will feel happier tomorrow.
Take care xx
