Forgot to say Grin to prizey who clearly knows me better than I know myself - I didn't even shave my legs last night as I was so sure DTD was not going to be on the cards! Did cringe slightly when it came to it though, it must have been like shagging Chewbacca Blush.

MississippiMud314 · 09/01/2016 17:01

I'm getting nervous now. Slight change of plan because it's lashing rain and because H is still at work and it suits him to drive here from work I think.

So again, no drinking. Just eating. But it's ok. Maybe we do need to know if we get on when we're not three sheets to the wind. He said he was still at work, "there was a crisis, the states are involved now." lol. I nearly laughed but I didn't.

Def Con 1. I'm thinking, but you can still see me right?! He says he'll be here at 7.

MississippiMud314 · 09/01/2016 17:02

Twiggy, did you meet him for lunch!? Is it still 'there'?

Poor Mr Pole.

MississippiMud314 · 09/01/2016 17:04

Oh twiggy, you postponed Mrblond. Good one! enjoy thecurry with your dd

tanyadm · 09/01/2016 17:10

Aww, 314, look at him trying to impress you with his big important man job!

PrizeyPrize · 09/01/2016 17:18

Oh Twiggy Grin doesn't sound like it's put him off much anyway! Lunch tomorrow? get those new knick-knicks out and de-fuzz! Grin

Good luck everyone on dates tonight!! So that's tanya, gast, 314, who else? I can't keep up!

314 I wonder if Mr Obama got notified Grin

Feeling rather pissed off as I've got no free nights for any impending dates for 3 weeks, due to scheduled visits to DPs and childcare issues, and tonight and last night I'm sat in watching telly on own as DCs at dads.....boo! Got one message from Curly today saying he needs to set up a Gmail account, to do the messenger thing and I said yeah but it's easy and I got a smily face back Hmm

Not sure if I'm getting too fussy. Finding every single bloke on all the sites incredibly ugly at the moment.....I'm either turning lesbian or I have entered into a planet of the orks subuniverse.

Looking forward to loo updates girls.
Currently reading chapter 4 'dumb fox' Hmm.....not sure I'm liking the advice on this chapter, but rest of book is good.

tanyadm · 09/01/2016 17:22

I'm tomorrow Prizey, just suffering premature panicking!

OP posts:
PrizeyPrize · 09/01/2016 17:26

Ah well it's good to be organised tanya you going for lunch?

PrizeyPrize · 09/01/2016 17:28

How brilliant would it be if we all lived close by and got together for a night out, that would be such a giggle. Grin

Twiggy789 · 09/01/2016 17:33

I was thinking that too prizey!

314 was he serious?!?

I thought the dumb fox was out of sync with other parts of the book - I'm not stroking anyone's ego by hiding behind a cushion when a scary film is on. Not stroking anything else either Grin

tanyadm · 09/01/2016 17:38

Nah, he's working until 6, so meeting at 6.45 at one of my favourite wee bars. So I've got all day tomorrow to panic as well, except my ex-H will be here with the girls (amicable split, still friends), so I'll have to keep a lid on it a little bit!

A Dating Thread night out would be a hoot!

PrizeyPrize · 09/01/2016 17:41

Yeah exactly twiggy I can get my own fucking spiders out the bath (with my bare hands and chuck them out the window!) with more gusto than I've seen any man do before. Skimming through this chapter. Anyone read the Matthew Hussey one? It probably worth adding to the list when you finish WMLB.

MississippiMud314 · 09/01/2016 18:00

I need to get a kindle. This crosses over from the kondo thread. But most things are cheaper on kindle anyway.

PrizeyPrize · 09/01/2016 18:02

You can just download the free app 314, on a pc, Mac, ipad or even android phone. No need to buy a kindle and the books are cheaper.

MississippiMud314 · 09/01/2016 18:03

Twiggy789, he was deadly serious. Work seems to be his absolute life. When we were chatting he was nodding supportively that my work is not that demanding and I don't think he judges me for it but our lives are very different.

Dumb fox might work on dumb men, but I've never dated a stupid man and I don't want to start now! I've dated men who were't as emotionally intelligent as I am, or men who weren't as self-aware as they thought they were, but never, ever have I dated a man who wouldn't have seen through a charade of being dumb.

MississippiMud314 · 09/01/2016 18:04

I'll download it on to my phone prizey!

MississippiMud314 · 09/01/2016 18:05

lol, tanya, do you think!?!? ha ha, I didn't think of that!! aw.

Does this strike anyone else as a bit odd, messaged MrItaly my mobile number earlier in case of problems, but he didn't text his back. Odd or just me panicking?

Think I've decided on date outfit, black cord mini (but not THAT mini) black lace blouse, purple shoes...feminine but not overtly sexual.

tanyadm · 09/01/2016 18:26

Don't panic. If he is picking you up, he has probably just stored your number in case of getting lost or something. It'll be fine!

Outfit sounds fab, by the way!

OP posts:
PrizeyPrize · 09/01/2016 19:15

I agree gast don't worry about phone thing and outfit sounds perfect!

PrizeyPrize · 09/01/2016 19:17

waving think that's very honest, have you texted writer to tell him? Ffs stay away from the phone until you've sobered up and there is no danger of you texting your undying love to Soho! Grin

PrizeyPrize · 09/01/2016 19:28

Still no word, so I have decided that Curly is 'just not that into me' (another one of my books of the moment), it takes 2 mins to set up a gmail account ffs. Next! Off to the land of orks I trapse.

choccyfiend78 · 09/01/2016 19:30

Hi all, met up with mr rugby last night and went really well. We had agreed he would come to mine as he was working til 11pm and then had to drive 40 minutes! Had a couple of glasses of wine and then nature took its course BlushGrin and he left at lunchtime today Shock we had been messaging since November though so it was always on the cards.

On another note, there is a new RL potential guy who has only just moved here and is a kickboxing instructor. Have seen him but not spoken though there are a few people who are trying to matchmake so I am a little embarrassed Blusheven my parents have been introduced to him in the pub and keep going on about how he is nice!!

Anyway good luck to all those with dates tonight, I am staying in with a takeaway and the tv Smile
