Wiping away a single tear, I go to open the door, dreading that it might be ex-DH. As I tug at the newly-fitted chain, a hand shoots through the widening gap and fastens firmly upon my wrist, as a shrieking fills my ears.

"You BITCH! YOU CAN'T HAVE HIM, HE'S MINE!" She screams, wildly, as she swipes at me with a..... sausage?

She crumples to the floor. "He loved them," she sobs piteously.

I guessed troll from the get go. Who conducts a sordid affair by email? Seriously, it just would never ever happen that way this side of 2002. How inconvenient and clunky, and the trail of evidence...

It was the ' I can only eat fruit right now' that got me ...as if we reach for fruit!!!! in times of crisis

DD1 was devastated, as you would imagine. When she was all cried out I gave her a big hug and made her favourite dinner - spaghetti hoops on toast, it always makes her feel better. We cuddled on the sofa for a bit watching trashy TV.

Plus was a tad tired of hearing about her oh so perfect life ...

And then Lovely Friend called round aso we all cuddled on the sofa a bit more. But then DD2 had to go and do her AS exams that finished last week so we all made sure to maintain our dignity for a week.

Oh I just posted on the other thread my late 80s wedding dress is hanging about in my room currently, pouffy sleeves, massive floppy bows and all...but in best 80's style it was dupion silk rather than taffeta

DD was, in fact weeping, at the fact that she appeared to be trying to sit her exams two weeks in arrears of the rest of the country, so I've just popped into her college on the way home from the solicitors, and was able to sort it out.
