I am so done with online dating. Been exchanging messages with a guy for a few days, all going well, seems nice enough. We make a date for this weekend then he drops the bombshell that he wants me to record myself masturbating in public on my phone for him to watch before we meet wtaf???
Is there no nice, normal single men out there?

Ha, these are great Grin

Come on Paul and MadeMan, tell us your OD horrors. I'd love to hear whether women can be as weirdGrin

I feel as though I really missed out because I just wasn't contacted by weirdos unless of course they were so appalling I've erased all memory of them. I didn't even get cock pics, and I was looking for something very casual at the time so fair game for that sort of thing I thoughtConfused. The nearest I got was a polite request to send one after a couple of emails:

Him: Would you like me to send you a picture of my cock?
Me: No thanks, I know what a penis looks like
Him: But you don't know what my cock looks like
Me: I'm not really that interested, thanks anyway
Him: [gets all offended and goes off in a huff]Grin

hereandtherex · 03/06/2015 11:43

The pople sending cocks - are they big?
Unless they were pretty proud of their member, I cannot think of a reason for sending a photo.

JohnFarleysRuskin · 03/06/2015 11:43

'I know what a penis looks like' is just the perfect response!

My worst:
He was 45 and said he was looking for women from 30-50.
(Fairly) open-minded fella, I thought, cool.
Met him: And he was way over 60. I was like, ummm, what?

handfulofcottonbuds · 03/06/2015 12:00

I was chatting to a professional, gorgeous man in his 30s. He sounded lovely on the phone.

Then he sent me a video of him licking a dirty flip flop.

hereandtherex · 03/06/2015 12:07

is 'flip flop' slang? Or just a 'flip flop'?

handfulofcottonbuds · 03/06/2015 12:13

Nope, it was a flip flop!

He also said he wanted me to beat him and did I have any friends he could 'serve' by licking their feet. Oh and he was looking for someone who he could (ahem) clean their dirty bottom with his tongue.

Takes allsorts!!

Shame, he seemed so normal - haha!

LMGTFY · 03/06/2015 12:20

I wouldn't even want my DH to send me a pic of his knob and I rather like that one so what makes people think strangers would want to see them??

handfulofcottonbuds · 03/06/2015 12:24

To see it from another side, I do think that a lot of women online ask for c*ck shots so some men think it's the norm to send them. I have heard this from decent men I have dated.

EeekEeekEeekEeek · 03/06/2015 12:31

A friend met a guy online who plied her with drinks on their first date, then when she got up to go to the loo offered her his empty glass and asked if she would pee into it so he could drink it.

I imagine he walked away from that encounter thinking 'Am I not asking politely enough?'

meddie · 03/06/2015 12:54

been a long time since I did OLD but my selection included

Men who claimed to be >5'10 (I,m 5'5) they were shorter than me on meeting. did they think i wouldnt notice?
Dick pics galore. I must have the sort of face that screams please send me a pic of your knob.
One who seemed ok, then asked that if the date went well, would I ever consider peeing on him.
One who sent me a video of him entitled "me getting waxed". I naively assumed it was him getting drunk or falling off a skateboard or something to that effect.
I never expected to be that intimate with his arsehole before we even went out on a date.

MadeMan · 03/06/2015 12:58

"Come on Paul and MadeMan, tell us your OD horrors."

I don't really have any horror tales as such, but I did meet a woman who treated our date almost like a business meeting/job interview; including shaking my hand when we met.

hereandtherex · 03/06/2015 13:07

Maybe you re-take your OLD dating photo and don't wear the gimp suit?

hereandtherex · 03/06/2015 13:08

Maybe there's a very small number of very active perverts on the dating site?

Twinklestein · 03/06/2015 13:09

Any knob shots just reply: 'too small' and block them.

Flip flops - wtf?

meddie · 03/06/2015 13:19

my stock answer to dick pics was
"That looks like a penis, only smaller"

SoleSource · 03/06/2015 13:37

Pmsl at this thread!!

Keep em cumming Grin

Nowstrong · 03/06/2015 13:42

OMG!! First date tomorrow for lunch....
Am actually cringing here. Seems nice enough, will keep you posted...

CheersMedea · 03/06/2015 15:29

My friend (who is about 40) was doing OLD - forget which site - but kept getting lots of messages from men in their early 20s. Apparently, this is a thing - it must be something to do with young men thinking that any woman over 40 is so desperate for sex she loses all capacity for rational thought.

After weeks of getting these types of messages, she had one of these young guy message going on about how hot she was and did she fancy a no-strings meet up.

Fed up with these messages, for a joke she replied to this one - saying that she kept getting these sort of messages from guys in their 20s, he had a lot of competition and he'd have to do a lot better than that.

He immediately replied back saying she obviously couldn't afford to be choosy because she was [40] and still on a dating site and she was pretty ugly anyway!!!

& he was the one who'd contacted her in the first place raving how hot she was.

She learnt her lesson about bothering to interact with pond scum!

DadOnIce · 03/06/2015 15:40

PickledOnion - that means you watched it all the way through to the end then?!

Frostycake · 03/06/2015 15:44

I haven't dated for four years but when I last did, I met some depressingly weird men.

One who 'just wanted cuddles' Hmm
One who shortened my name without asking (think calling me 'Ron' instead of Veronica without so much as a by your leave)
One who insisted on calling me 'hun' - enough said
One who started sending me sad songs via You Tube link after only 1 date.
One who I saw twice for drinks who I then told that i just wasn't into him who bombarded me with texts saying I'd 'thrown our love away' Hmm

Another thing I've noticed with a few of these men is that after so long, their pictures sent in texts go 'poof' they just leave a box that says 100MEDIA_IMAGE0033.jpg what is this and why do they disappear?

RubbishMantra · 03/06/2015 16:11

Never done online dating, but a bloke I was sort of long distance dating sent me a link to his youtube channel. They were all self made videos dressed as a laydee, lightly torturing himself. Wearing a ball gag in one of them.

I think he'd put a lot of thought and creativity into them. Varied locations and outfits. I didn't see him again, but on my birthday, he thoughtfully sent me a photo of him wearing a silky night dress, stockings and a Louise Brookes style wig.

HazleNutt · 03/06/2015 16:24

CheersMedea - google ByeFelipe. Unfortunately it's an extremely common reaction.

I had my share of weirdos as well - really, what is it with cock pictures? Do they really think we find this kind of thing erotic?

One guy I met for lunch was all nice and normal, I thought we really clicked - unfortunately I ran into him later this evening in the supermarket, where he was buying nappies..(and judging by his reaction, he was not a single dad or helping out a friend).

minkGrundy · 03/06/2015 16:27

I online dated for about a year and no one, not once sent me an unsolicited knob shot! This surprised me for I have quite a kind face, I like to think.

Grin brilliant!

Aaaa8888 · 03/06/2015 16:34

Wow! I think he was desperate!! ShockWhen guys act like this they don't want anything serious. That's a fact. A guy does this to me , I would block his number forever. Gross and disrespectful man.
