Welcome to the Bus. It's a Bus full of drinkers, non-drinkers, occasional slurpers, sneaky sippers, we're all a very different bunch but we ALL have the same thing in common.

Alcohol.

We all have a story or two to tell, we have all been through some terrible times, some more than others and we all have our reasons for drinking or even not.

The one true wonderful thing about this Bus is that we don't do judging!! We're all on a even playing field, no matter what has brought us to this thread.

So, if you'd like to talk, then talk. If you want to lurk and see how we work for a while, that's cool too :)

Easter Bunny has been and I've just eaten a massive egg . I feel quite sick . I did go for a 3 mile run earlier though so that makes me feel a bit better.

I've just watched the episode of EastEnders from Friday, with Kat taking an overdose, doing the things she did before she took the pills.... it brought back so many scary, bad, fearful and terrifying memories that I thought I'd locked deep away.............

I hate my brain. The triggers.

I hate being in pain with my arm and back.

I hate feeling pathetic and losing my independence. Gosh this thing is starting to smell too!!!

I am not good at having to suffer with not being able to wash my arm. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Anyway, fuck it.

Morning. Just wanted to wish you all a Happy Easter

Been away from MN for a few days as have been trying to sort my head out - had headache for over a week with work issues and WB issues - and sick of hearing myself moaning , though WB helpfully made it clear he was too so had no audience apart from grim camaraderie of similarly afflicted colleagues (odd being criticised for moaning by Mr Malcontent himself but perhaps he took out a monopoly on it when I wasn't looking ).

Anyway, been AF for 5 days, god knows how, but tend to drink a tonne when stressed so needed to stop as was running out of excuses ... work situation at an impasse, but decided to refuse VE and fight on for my dream job secondment, and have been researching my case and talking to the unions. I know this will cause me stress but I dont have a job to go to and am too angry to let them bully me into going quietly. Finding it hard to switch off but trying. Taking Dcs swimming today (tho dreading getting my lardy legs out in public, ugh!!!!)

Just read back this morning, and you mad lot have cheered me up, especially the image of Ma bring ravaged by a hunky man who has just cleaned the cat litter, and who can overlook the opal fruits in her hair

I have to get up now and put Easter Bunny eggs downstairs . Am also doing an egg hunt. Dcs are both in high school but I don't care. First time in 3 years ds home for Easter as his training camp in sunny climes is a week later this year, so am going for it

Sorry Mouse, I didn't refresh before posting. That cheesey plastered arm smell; ugh, I remember it well. I ended up using cotton buds dipped in facial toner to get between my fingers.

Hope, you are having the shittiest of times, but I get a real sense of strength and fight from your post {hugs}.

Very proud of DS he is flying alone for the very first time - he has always been escorted as an unaccompanied minor before. Flight got off on time, and I haven't had a call to say he wasn't on it!! And his passport only got chewed a little by Pup .

My mood and frame of mind are better this morning, although I read a disturbing thread yesterday that triggered a load of stuff from my childhood, which was buried deep down, I've woken up having had fucked up dreams, a disturbed sleep. Sweet very brave DS glad he's on his way so to speak. As a child we lived in France and used to fly back from Paris to Manchester to see Grandparents sans Parents, it's exciting and very grown up (well it felt like it then) Are you doing more erection today

Have a great day everyone not much planned here, I think this may be part of my problem, I do tend to drift on my days off and I'm avoiding housework (nothing unusual there!!!!!)

Morning all. Still in PJs and trying to summon the energy to get dressed and go for a walk in the sunshine. I just can't be bothered doing anything. I need to talk to the neighbours about the roof repairs and am so dreading the confrontation that I dont want to go out. Pathetic! Its not as if they are monsters. They won't be happy at being hit with a share of a bill, but its not s if they are going to kill me or anything. I just cant seem to be able to deal with anything. I heard yesterday of both a bereavement and a new baby in families I know and my reaction was a completely disinterested "meh". I dont like being like this.

to all Babes with Little wunns! OMG. Just spent 5 days in a household with a 2 and a 4 year old! Four year old Girls are, well, I'm still searching for a word. I had totally forgotten that.
Exhausted. My poor friend!

Sunny day, sitting on the bus (yep, road trip!) and just happy to be 'back' on the only bus that really counts.
I gained weight from the drinking and eating. I did not get tipsier than usual but had two glasses of bubbly every day (more yesterday. we were invited to a bday brunch).
Did squeeze in a 10k but no yoga.

But, also feel absolutely loved. No hugs better than chubby Little arms!

I'm trying to stay/think positive but it's hard. I destroyed what we had. I do still love him. He won't even share our bed.

It's the Disney Princess tyranny that makes me relived I had a boy! But the cinematography looks stunning, and I bet Helena Bonham Carter makes a great fairy god mother. Enjoy, and lose yourself in it for a couple of hours.
