Hello, tis me, Mouse

Welcome to the Bus. It's a Bus full of drinkers, non-drinkers, occasional slurpers, sneaky sippers, we're all a very different bunch but we ALL have the same thing in common.

Alcohol.

We all have a story or two to tell, we have all been through some terrible times, some more than others and we all have our reasons for drinking or even not. Smile

The one true wonderful thing about this Bus is that we don't do judging!! We're all on a even playing field, no matter what has brought us to this thread.

So, if you'd like to talk, then talk. If you want to lurk and see how we work for a while, that's cool too :)

The Bus is never full, there's always is room for YOU.

And, if you'd like to see what started this off, amost good 5 years ago now, have a look at A TRULY AWESOME HEARTFELT THEAD HERE

And our last thread is just here too for those who would like some more history THIS IS WHERE WE'VE JUST BEEN

Hope to see you soon :) xxx

Indeed Sweet ,and Alias, you definitely picked up on the important part of my post. (Rippling muscles, Blush). I just wish Ma could've taken photos of the broad shouldered officer, before he swished her over one humungous shoulder, and they disappeared into the night, followed by fireflies, in a swirl of jacaranda petals.

Off to watch The Lion King with the youngest. x

dementedma · 04/04/2015 14:57

Roaring with laughter at the fireflies and jacaranda petals.....and he would need every inch of those humungous shoulders to drape me over them!!!

fevversbetterout · 04/04/2015 15:24

I've just finished reading "Burmese Days", Ma. I see you in ivory silk, somehow managing not to sweat despite the humidity, unfazed by cobras and inquisitive elephants. The only reason this officer can take you to the bamboo stands is because you're all for it. Oof, back to the Lion King, (damping down fevered imagination...)

dementedma · 04/04/2015 16:07

fevvers am loving your style....I feel a whole new fantasy coming on. Given the humidity, officer shoulders would have his top button undone, revealing the hint of a manly hairy chest....

fevversbetterout · 04/04/2015 16:16

Does Officer Shoulders cut a dash in his sarong while supine in a planters chair, drawing on a beedi, by the light of a blood red moon? Does he Ma?

dementedma · 04/04/2015 16:30

Oooh fevvers...you are taking this to whole new level. I can picture him on the verandah, the blood red moon casting his chiselled features into a brooding silhouette, as the scent from the jacarandas rises intoxicatingly round him....

dementedma · 04/04/2015 16:40

Ooh, I just found a photo on tinterweb of Officer Shoulders! I would have to crop his face off though in case his dp is on here!

fevversbetterout · 04/04/2015 16:40

Oooer, Ma

Oh you two! The new (properly literary) 50 Shades is obviously going to be a collaboration.

fevversbetterout · 04/04/2015 17:21

Fifty shades of Opal Fruits.

fevversbetterout · 04/04/2015 17:24

I've just bought "Keep the Aspidistra Flying" from the second hand bookshop here, so things might take a bit of a downturn on the bodice ripping front.

SweetLathyrus · 04/04/2015 17:32

I have three Aspidestra, the buggers won't die, and I can't throw out a plant that hasn't turned up its roots. Did you know they're pollunated by slugs? (Sorry Geaorge!). It's one I haven't read, Fevvers.

fevversbetterout · 04/04/2015 17:46

They are fell ugly and boring Sweet, but, like you, I can't chuck them out till they are either charcoal or slime. Seeing them in copper bowls gives me the heebie jeebies. Didn't know about the slug pollination

dementedma · 04/04/2015 17:51

Phwoar fevvers....!!!!!!

fevversbetterout · 04/04/2015 18:09

Ma is recumbent on ivory silk bedsheets. A soft breeze billows the muslin draped over her four poster bed. Officer Shoulders is finishing off the ironing in his scanty sarong, while casting longing looks towards Ma. . Ma sighs and stretches. Only an hour till Officer Shoulders can slide into bed with her, but first he has to do the dishes, prepare the packed lunches and empty the litter tray. Ma discovers a wee sweaty opal fruit stuck in her luxuriant hair. Officer Shoulders is cleaning the lavvy, so she whips the opal fruit out, peels off the stuck on hair, and pops it in her gob.

dementedma · 04/04/2015 18:13

fevvers!!! Am crying with laughter... I feel a bus book coming on. But seriously, what's with the housework and waiting an hour? Officer Shoulders, get your muscly ass in here right now!!!!!

fevversbetterout · 04/04/2015 18:18

My husband identifies me as working class, because I don't do deferred gratification. Smile Ma is posh, so she has to wait. "Officer Shoulders, there's a few greasy streaks on the patio windows"...

fevversbetterout · 04/04/2015 18:21

Glad if I gave you a giggle Ma, you deserve a laugh x

Eggynuff · 04/04/2015 18:29

How's the erection going?

(That's to Sweet btw not ma Grin)

SweetLathyrus · 04/04/2015 19:14

It has a base Faire, can only go up from here!

aliasjoey · 04/04/2015 20:28

eggy its a good thing you clarified who you meant there Grin

Am feeling bad. Have drunk the last 4/7 nights (less than a bottle each time, but still...) My bladder is very sore (the acid?) My health generally is just poor, and alcohol doesn't help.

spanna41 · 04/04/2015 20:36

Hi Babes

Day 5 and I'm struggling. Avoided booze isle earlier, had my PJs on since 6 so that I don't go out on a booze run Blush it's so flipping hard Sad Angry Blush I need to get a grip.

dementedma · 04/04/2015 20:56

Keep at it spanna.
I'm not even trying and not even fit to be in the sidecar these days....

spanna41 · 04/04/2015 21:12

Thanks Ma just eaten a load of chocolate, feeling a bit better. I just want 'the fog' and 'numbness' - pathetic, need to get a grip, need to get a grip Hmm

Eggynuff · 04/04/2015 21:59

Joey it sounds like you are in 'self destruct' mode.

Can you pick a day, just one day, to be kind to yourself. Water, fresh air, exercise, dancing, colouring, singing, bell ringing, whatever...

Try to break the cycle my lovely. 4/7 is not the end of the world. How about aiming for 3/7 next?
