Hello, tis me, Mouse

Welcome to the Bus. It's a Bus full of drinkers, non-drinkers, occasional slurpers, sneaky sippers, we're all a very different bunch but we ALL have the same thing in common.

Alcohol.

We all have a story or two to tell, we have all been through some terrible times, some more than others and we all have our reasons for drinking or even not. Smile

The one true wonderful thing about this Bus is that we don't do judging!! We're all on a even playing field, no matter what has brought us to this thread.

So, if you'd like to talk, then talk. If you want to lurk and see how we work for a while, that's cool too :)

The Bus is never full, there's always is room for YOU.

And, if you'd like to see what started this off, amost good 5 years ago now, have a look at A TRULY AWESOME HEARTFELT THEAD HERE

And our last thread is just here too for those who would like some more history THIS IS WHERE WE'VE JUST BEEN

Hope to see you soon :) xxx

Turn - you need a hobby. I was learning to knit until I broke my wrist.... 40 and knitting! Can you believe it? I drawer too and make my own cards.... seriously, the Demon Drink will keep your hands busy if you don't.

Do you like crafts? Baking? Sewing? There are so many kits to make cool animals, dolls, toys etc or even start making your own Christmas gifts, cards etc now.

It's the way that I got past the bordem for those first few months after going to bed when Nemo did.

His last tube feed finishes at around 8/8.30 so I'd go to bed then. Then I'd be up too early.... so I found crafts helped as I love that sort of thing anyway, now knitting!!

Anything to keep your mind and hands busy will help. Clear the freezer our, wash out the fridge. Clear your drawer in the kitchen that no-one knows what it's for, but it's full of junk and bits off things!! Grin

ANYTHING!!

By the way, I've put some pics of Nemo on my profile and made it public again if anyone wants to have a peek. :)

small - I've just updated them as I couldn't see them as they were just small squares, now they are up to date and visible! Fill your boots Grin

I'm on tap water, pints of, chock full of ice. I have such a thirst on that I can't stop drinking water. I love going through the change, it's awesome!! Hmm

Now then, do I need to set up a new thread before I go to bed? How are we all doing? xx

(waves to all babes old and new on the bus, throws in a handful of Opal Fruits and runs away again before an unseemly fight breaks out)

Morning, tis me, Mouse

I HATE that Ruby Sad Here, have these to cheer you up Cake Flowers

Khalisi - Thank you for such kind words, my family weren't always so lovely, and by that I mean I've been in some pretty dark, and twisted relationships in the past, so to finally find The One and have my gorgeous children with me too, makes me feel extremely humbled when we all wake safe and together each day. :)

I know to some that might sound strange and 'well why you?' but unless you've been to the places I have, done the things I did in the past and have been made to feel like a waste of oxygen, then it's really rather hard to put into emotional context.

But I have all of you here, my RL family and friends who I love more than ever after losing my mum at such a young age, and I have me.

And Let's face it, if you don't love or like yourself, you're not going to let anyone else, are you? :) xxx

Did I mention that I'm getting this bloody cast off today? Got to be at the hospital early so I'll take some lunch and sit it out....

I hope you all have some sunshine where you are today.. it's sunny but blowing a hoooooooooooooooooley here!! Grin

Bye for now xx :) xx

mouse your daughter is absolutely stunning - and the image of her mother!
khalisi there are rules on this here bus about ogling other people's husbands and...........I was there first! Angry

Some much needed good news today - dd1 passed her driving test. Didn't even tell us it was happening! So pleased for her but a bit sad I cant afford to buy her a wee car or even add her to the bloody insurance....

Ma - Thank you Blush and you know you'll be in line for Mr. Mouse should I shuffle off this mortal coil sooner than expected, after all, you did demand him ask first! Grin

HUGE congrats to your DD passing her driving test. Don't feel bad, a) you were in the dark about it all and more importantly b) she knows how things are, she's a savvy gal. :) xxx

DD has broken her iPhone charger, I saw the plug on the bed and some £££ next to it and thought, why's that there..... on closer inspection, I now know! Good job I can get her one here for tomorrow and charge it in the car should needs be until then. Kids!!!

Not long til this bloody cast comes off!! I'll set up a new thread first so you can bagsy the back seats and then we'll get this one full, as I might not be back in time.... the way you lot natter on and on and on...... jeeeez! Grin xxx

Awful nights sleep. Twitchy and anxious. Very short tempered today, my first 'proper' day without and it's making me twitchy already.
On the upside Jamie Oliver has left a message for my daughter so she'll be over the moon Grin

TurnOver Well done. I can really recommend Sominex for sleep - I don't find the herbal stuff strong enough.
Day 3 here, DH still not talking to me but I think I need a separate relationships thread for that. I'm finding myself swinging between feeling mild euphoria to terror at the thought of a life without alcohol.
I found a quote I really like earlier: 'I'd rather be sober with the occasional urge to drink than an alcoholic with the constant desire to quit'.
Hands How are are you doing today?

Poor Mr. Mouse, being fought over by menopausal old women!

Turn Congrats on the phone call, name dropping, are you?! Grin
You know, yesterday was seriously hard. I did not drink because I knew I wasn't the only babe who had a bad day. I really could have justified a bottle glass.

Sweet how are you, my dear?

Hope Call two or three companies that do similar work and ask for a quotation. Then decide on your price? Then you'd have a clearer idea?

Hey to all other Babes!
