Welcome to the Bus. It's a Bus full of drinkers, non-drinkers, occasional slurpers, sneaky sippers, we're all a very different bunch but we ALL have the same thing in common.

We all have a story or two to tell, we have all been through some terrible times, some more than others and we all have our reasons for drinking or even not.

The one true wonderful thing about this Bus is that we don't do judging!! We're all on a even playing field, no matter what has brought us to this thread.

Another beautiful day and I've got to work Day 11 Quite pleased as it's taken me until now to get back into double figures. Note to self: I have more patience with DC, I am sleeping better than I was, I feel calmer, I can think with a clear head, generally I am an all round better person That feels good.

Yay! Thanks all. So sweet of you! Stuck in an inevitable traffic jam getting round London, but right now nothing is denting my mood! Have even persuaded the DC to engage with an excellent new car pastime called 'the Quiet Game'.

Feel quite stunned still that this time sobriety appears to have stuck, touch wood. I've said before that I have no idea why this time it's working when on all previous occasions it has been pretty hopeless. But am giving up worrying why and just accepting it for the gift it is. I wish you all the same gift too, and Spanna, am counting the next 90 days with you! It really has taught me that, trite as it seems, we all just need to keep picking ourselves up and keep trying. One day, when you least expect it, it will click.

This bus has been a massive, massive support for me - I want to say thank you to each and every one of you. If I can do half as much for any of you as you have done for me I will be delighted!

My dd who wakes up at 6 every morning is still asleep now-it's a miracle! I keep checking on her and she is lying there with her Peppa Pig onesie on complete with hood up and piggy ears

I have a poorly Puss. She is at the vets, with a temperature and not eating . Thank goodness for pet insurance, that's one less worry, but she is such a tiny wee thing, and actually refused Dreamies this morning (their advertising is true, cats really will jump through walls for them).

Time for mint tea and a cuddle with Pup.

Off for another run now and then packing up DS for his holiday tomorrow. Had some more bad news from work, basically it's been escalated up the food chain but they are backing the evil overlord who made the decision despite him being mad as a box of frogs in stereotypical bitter, crazed Marvel villain style (he's short and ugly and a bully and this is just a pissing contest for him). Am fuming, and a little scared that I will eventually come in for some real bullying for being a union member and for not being a good girl and taking a pay off and agreeing to leave. But am NOT getting bogged down in this today, off for my run now and then time with the DCs....

Good to go for that run, Hope. You'll feel better. There are moments I hate people saying this but - we cannot change others. Only ourselves. That short-dicked, balding, ugly loser can't take away the dolphins swimming after your run. Or the time spend with your dDCs.

I have the first do with new fella. The friend who introduced us has now invited us twice. The first time I refused to go with him.
Now she and her DH had birthdays and I can't think of a way of getting out of it.
Nothing to do with him. He's lovely, uncomplicated and fun.

Don't quite know what to do with myself this afternoon. Too twitchy to read; I just put too much Tabasco on my avocado, but ate it anyway; and I can't do anymore gardening because DH has given up on the greenhouse. So I am just waiting for the vet to call, with all my fingers and toes crossed. Puss is only eight months old and went downhill very quickly this morning. The vet can't be quite sure, but thinks it's a malformation of the small intestine.
