Hello, tis me, Mouse

Welcome to the Bus. It's a Bus full of drinkers, non-drinkers, occasional slurpers, sneaky sippers, we're all a very different bunch but we ALL have the same thing in common.

Alcohol.

We all have a story or two to tell, we have all been through some terrible times, some more than others and we all have our reasons for drinking or even not. Smile

The one true wonderful thing about this Bus is that we don't do judging!! We're all on a even playing field, no matter what has brought us to this thread.

So, if you'd like to talk, then talk. If you want to lurk and see how we work for a while, that's cool too :)

The Bus is never full, there's always is room for YOU.

And, if you'd like to see what started this off, amost good 5 years ago now, have a look at A TRULY AWESOME HEARTFELT THEAD HERE

And our last thread is just here too for those who would like some more history THIS IS WHERE WE'VE JUST BEEN

Hope to see you soon :) xxx

Welcome April you'll get some great support on this lovely bus Easter Smile

I've spent the day trying to be all positive and jolly whilst inside feeling rank, sweating, anxious, tired, pants really but on a plus I have done quite a bit, which is pleasing. WW has been whispering all day, bitch Easter Angry I will keep on keeping on, hard work though Easter Sad

Ruby how's your day going? Easter Smile

dementedma · 01/04/2015 17:04

Checking in. Welcome April
Am at the Scottish parliament tonight. Wonder what havoc I can wreak?

SmallFox · 01/04/2015 17:07

Thanks, Mouse - lovely shiny thread makes me feel full of optimism (for 5 mins, anyway). Hope your hand is feeling better.

Welcome April, come and join us all on the lovely mad boingy bus journey to everywhere and nowhere in particular. You are very welcome.

Spanna - thanks for your asking about me earlier (and if it wasn't you, apologies - my memory is improving now my brain isn't permanently pickled, but it still ain't perfect). Am feeling perkier today. Still a bit flat, but definitely perkier.

Kids are away tonight and DP and I are going out for a gentle wander and some food. When we have a babysitter we feel we 'have' to make the most of the night out and 'do' something improving/useful/cultural (for which read pointlessly expensive). Its nice not to have that pressure: tonight they are staying at friends, so DP says it'll be like the old days, we can just wander into town, potter round the pubs and see what we fancy for supper. I don't feel exactly panicked by that middle bit as I know I won't drink - I just feel a bit bored and flat at the prospect. Its not exactly 'what's the point, if I'm not drinking' - but...erm... it nearly is! Ah well, it'll all be about the pleasure of his company, I guess..

Springy hugs to all.

SmallFox · 01/04/2015 17:08

Hey, Ma - you can't get away with just dropping that into conversation - sounds way cool, what're you doing there? Go you - will watch out for you on the news Smile

aliasjoey · 01/04/2015 18:42

Gosh I nearly lost you all!

Thanks mouse for setting up the new board!

I am not right. I feel all wrong. Was like this 3 years ago (which led me to catching the Bus, as I wondered if alcohol played a part - yes! I've been on the Bus for THREE YEARS! Easter Smile)

Maybe it's hormones?

spanna41 · 01/04/2015 19:07

Joey what's at the route? is it work? or just life at the moment. Come and wallow with me in the self pity mind brain, I've been all self, self all day (ashamed, anxious, already bored without booze to numb me, low, feeling like shit) I realise when I go AF how poisoned my body is and how much of a physical effect wine has Easter Blush

Hi Baby you ok honey? Easter Grin

NoAprilFool · 01/04/2015 19:17

Thanks for the lovely welcome

I'm at the anxious, self loathing stage of the day after drinking too much. Just trying to hold it together until I can go to bed.

I will chat properly when my heads a bit less scrambled.

dementedma · 01/04/2015 19:43

Hey joey I hate to think how long I've been here!
At a reception at Parliament round some of the work I do with military chaps... Grin
Glass of orange juice and teeny canape just isn't enough. Am starving!

SweetLathyrus · 01/04/2015 19:48

Everyone seems twitchy and out of sorts today, is it a full moon, or just the change of month?

Has anyone found any interesting new af drinks lately, I've got a bit stuck on fever tree naturally light ginger beer and tea pigs mint tea.

spanna41 · 01/04/2015 20:08

Military Chaps eh? sounds interesting......... Easter Grin

Sweet I've just seen the moon, it's getting bigger Easter Hmm

I'm still feeling 'done in' from my last session on Monday to even contemplate drinking today. It will be tomorrow when I get in from work that will be difficult Easter Blush I've currently got that Sunday night before work feeling, only 2 days until the weekend thank Gawd

Stellar67 · 01/04/2015 20:53

Evening all. Just popping in. I succumbed to half a glass of red. Half a small glass. And now I've got all my nail stuff out as I need a sober head to do that.
Was a crap day and tomorrow is likely to be crapper. So I want more but I feel telling you all will help.
Apologies for skimming posts. Hi April. We are all here in the same bus. I love this bus and I've only been here a few days.
Mouse hope the hand is healing a bit.
Sweet - I went to the chinese supermarket and got a stack of iced teas.
Very much the wine witch hour, or five....
Nails await. Going to go for red!

dementedma · 01/04/2015 21:06
