Superfly, could you approach the people that you volunteered with before and ask them for his name, maybe say that you'd been chatting about a project and you wanted to get in touch with him about it, maybe try to make it sound like a networking/professional thing instead of a wanting to snog his face off thing? Wink

Hissy, the date's in the bag, he's prob just feeling confident, like he knows you're seeing each other and it doesn't need to be quite so intense.

Blossom, is the texting moving towards meeting up for a date? It's OK to be on your guard, if you genuinely think he might be looking for a quick shag and/or already attached.

Dolly, strike while the iron's hot, I say! Dating seems to be feast or famine and you never know when the lean times will come along again...

MadeMan · 30/10/2014 15:47

@steelchic - If the first date went well with Mr Gym it could be worth a second date just to see if you definitely, definitely still don't fancy him.

Sometimes something will change in your head and suddenly you do fancy someone after all. Smile

Blossomflowers · 30/10/2014 15:56

steel oh is so annoying when you get on but just don't fancy them, not sure this can change, hasn't for me.
juju He has texted me loads and has just called me, would like to meet up tonight, bloody hell all a bit rushed, goodness should I accept. Nothing else particularly planned. Mr Italian texted earlier but said in a bad mood.
Must hone my twat radar, especially towards my X who texts me loads

steelchic · 30/10/2014 17:08

Manmade/Blossom
no second date, i dont think i could ever be attracted to him, he's not ugly by any means but he has certain features That i Find very unattractive , That sounds awful, doesn't it. But when i saw him my heart sank. His photos arent too bad must have been taken at a good angle. I feel so bad putting this down on paper, id hate to think of someone talking About me in such away. The guy I met last year and ended up seeing for a few months wasn't my type but something drew me to him. It's just not there with Mr Gym. I need to let him know Im not interested because i dont think he's up for dating lots of women. I think he wants to Find the one. I think if we went on a second date he'd think I was his GF.

Second date with MissItalian. Meet up for a drink then a movie.

Not a fan of early cinema dates but she was keen to meet again and this was her suggestion.

Blossomflowers · 30/10/2014 17:27

steel in that case you need to stop now, not fair to him. I have been seeing Mr Italian for some time and he is very much talking about the future and meeting his daughter, holidays, I am just not ready for all that but enjoy his company, he def thinks I am his gf. Am I being selfish

steelchic · 30/10/2014 17:43

No i dont think you are Blossom, just tell him you want to slow it down a bit and see how it pans out.
What do i say to him i cant say i dont fancy you, do i make something up like im not over my ex and dont want to mess him about.

OP posts:
Blossomflowers · 30/10/2014 17:47

steel the don't think I am ready for a relationship right now sounds good, would be cruel to say you do not fancy him. Anyway has only been 1 date so he should be fine.
Mr Italian has blown me out as said he is very tired because he could not sleep last night as his daughter sprained he arm yesterday and he was upset. umm seems a bit wet or am I being harsh?

Oxymoron2K14 · 30/10/2014 17:53

Steel, just say that on reflection after meeting you don't think you're a match but good luck in future dating.

You can text that, especially after only one date. Can't see him having a problem - for us blokes it's either good or bad and early on we can easily cope with both. Be honest though otherwise he may pester you saying that maybe you just need some time etc.

Blossomflowers · 30/10/2014 17:59

Ugh, just been messaging someone and found he has a Porsche 911, has really put me off, god I ma becoming really jugmental.

steelchic · 30/10/2014 18:08

Blossom , he does seem a bit wet, what age is she ( its a sprain fgs)

Oxy, thanks good to get a Guys perspective , Im just no good at this sort of thing

OP posts:
Blossomflowers · 30/10/2014 18:12

steel she only 5. I appreciate he loves and cares for her but sometimes it is over the top. It is his turn to have her this weekend so will be nc till Monday, this is the problem dating people with very young kids. Maybe I am just hardened.

steelchic · 30/10/2014 18:24

Blossom, maybe I'm hardened too lol, it is only a sprain and kids That age are always getting bumps and bruises. Some people do over react. So whats wrong with Mr Porche lol x

OP posts:
Blossomflowers · 30/10/2014 18:28

Mr Porsche sound lovely except he drives one, lol. Think I might chat with him. Mr no Commitment seems quite pushy and think he is after one thing only. Am bored of ONS want more than that.

steelchic · 30/10/2014 18:31

Blossom, no harm in chatting

OP posts:
Blossomflowers · 30/10/2014 19:03

I think I am seeking perfection, not sure it exists. Compare everyone to my X aswell

steelchic · 30/10/2014 19:08

I do the Same Blossom, my XH is quite handsome, great job so i compare That but not the lying Cheating part lol.

OP posts:
MadeMan · 30/10/2014 19:12

"So whats wrong with Mr Porche"

Blossomflowers · 30/10/2014 19:16

My X had lots if faults but did not cheat. I think I really need to get over him to move on. Having a few ons when we first split was actually great, now I want more this is proving to be more difficult.
Oh Mr non commitment is being asses as I said I felt a bit rushed, think my gut instinct was right, blimey it must be the Welsh

Blossomflowers · 30/10/2014 19:23
