Thank you for trying to save me costs of divorce by selecting a solicitor for me and by covering their costs, you are doing me a favour, I know.

Thank you for being fair by offering to take only 40% of the assets in my name to enable a quick resolution to the end of the marriage, which is what you want.

Of course, I realise that the assets in your name aren't mine because you are the man. Sorry you are THE MAN. I do keep getting things wrong, so I perfectly understand that you want a divorce.

All the same, thank you for offering me a speedy divorce by asking me to agree that we have been separated for two years so that I can move on with my life. Okay, we both know it's less than two weeks in actualment since you walked. I remain in shock but I'm so grateful that you have my best interests at heart during this difficult time.

So, Soon To Be Ex-Husband, thank you.

Because you are a twat and I'm so much better off without you.

Oh Lordy, NO! If you want stronger, drop the gin and head for the Everclear 190! It's 95% apv and really packs a wallop! Can you get Everclear in the UK? You can't even buy it in the US state I live it, but we can get it 50 miles away over the state line. All I have to do is unscrew the cap and sniff the fumes and I get a buzz Grin.

Or you can invest some money in a naice bottle of champagne for after court tomorrow. I'm sure you and SHL will have reason to celebrate, even if it's only from seeing VSTBX gobsmacked face when he realizes that he can't demand/explain away/circumvent the law from Mr/Ms Justice.

Keep hold of that anger WWK - icy fury is a good groove to get into, keeps you focused but not in 'about to lose it' territory.
If you can, have some music you like to listen to on the way tomorrow. I had a special playlist for solicitor and court days!
Can I millionth the suggestion for you to write some sort of book? This thread and the others would make an excellent first draft methinks although I suggest you use a pseudonym! Just imagine all those irate xhs trying it sue you when it wasn't even about them....

Thanks all! Really appreciated (and need to get that smile on my face today).

Anyway, my new clothes, my new hair do and my new slimline (gin & tonic-filled) figure is off to court in about 15 minutes....so I'll catch up with you all later to let you give you an update whether or not it's more "woe-is-me", or more "woe-is him", or really just a complete waste of time and expense, as I fear this may be.

I'll start up a new thread once my little 'day-trip' is over and done with, as this one is nearly full. I think I will call it Dear VSTBXH.

As I'm not really very good with words and fings...
