Great update. Enjoy the rest of your holiday and hope the sun continues to shine for you.

Really well done on getting the interviews too. It's all coming together!

themidwife · 28/08/2013 16:47

Ahhh glad you're having a lovely time Waves SmileSmileSmile

AndMiffyWentToSleep · 28/08/2013 18:32

So glad to hear you're having a good time!

MissStrawberry · 28/08/2013 18:43

So pleased you are having a lovely time. Not so pleased people don't help. Next time ASK. Surely no one is that unkind they would turn you down.

My youngest 2 went back to school today. All survived!

vole3 · 29/08/2013 11:22

I know what you mean about full on holidays! Can I suggest North Wales for your next destination, as long as you have rally driving skills and a head for heights :)
Can't understand those miserable beggars not offering to help. Having been there, I always offer help when I can.

SuffragetteCity · 29/08/2013 12:33

My DSs and I met up with Waves and her lovely family at the Natural History Museum yesterday, and I got to cuddle that little doll Caspian! Waves, you are wonderful, and your DCs seem like such good kids. It was so nice to meet you all and I hope you enjoy the rest of your holiday. Grin

MissStrawberry · 29/08/2013 13:22

Grin.

Wow things have moved on so much, pleased you've managed a holiday and got job interviews lined up AND had the moment when you've realised twunt really isn't worth thinking about. All this while I've had no internet ?

WingDefence · 29/08/2013 18:10

Hope you've had a wonderful day in Brighton! DH used to live there and when we still lived down south we'd head there for the day every couple of months or so, back to our favourite haunts. Still haven't introduced DD to the delights of the Lanes though :(

Reading that meeting your sister went well made my heart leap - I'm so glad you were able to see her.

I hope too that you've been getting some sleep?! :)

tightfortime · 29/08/2013 23:52

Waves, your positivity just LEAPS from the screen! Sounds like you have a right wriggler with C, bless him.

Keep up the energy and the plate spinning, best of luck with the interviews and baking and cluster feeds, I am in awe

We are leaving Brighton today after a wonderful stay, but before that we are meeting one of my mum's brothers for lunch as he lives fairly nearby. Then off to London where we are meeting an old school friend for tea, then off to a clothes launch thing. It was great to meet Suffragette who has 2 gorgeous and lovely boys. DD is still chatting about the hat babies Confused

Three telephone interviews on Monday so I will be busy on Sunday preparing for those!

I am so very over the moon that meeting my sister went well. I hope at some stage you manage to reconcile with your brother Wing or at least find peace with the situation. My sister is a very quiet person, and doesn't really open up too much, but had the same upbringing as me, and I guess her coping strategy is to keep things to herself. I sometimes most of the time mistake this for coldness, but it really isn't. She completely adores Caspian and I am so pleased we found the time to meet, despite the fact they are mid house move.

Right, final bit of packing, then off to meet my uncle.

Three interviews, Waves??

Thumbwitch · 31/08/2013 06:22

Hurrah for another fantastically positive message, Waves! Things are truly starting to look up now, I'm so pleased for you :) x Thanks

MinnieBar · 31/08/2013 08:35

Glad you are having a lovely time - you deserve it!

Sorry I wasn't able to meet up with you guys. I've been working term-time amounts yet without the childcare and I think I've reached burn-out!

pointythings · 31/08/2013 17:32

waves I have been away for two weeks and you have come such light years! Once again I am in awe of you and I'm keeping all my fingers, eyes, toes, legs and other appendages crossed for you... Here's hoping you will find a job that takes you to a completely fresh start.

captainmummy · 01/09/2013 10:00

Just popping on to say how lovely it was to meet you yesterday, Waves and your lovely family. i got to hold Caspian for ages and he slept on my shoulder the whole time Grin - he is absolutely adorable and snuggly and your other dc are lovely too - not 'robotic' at all; very normal and bright kids.

I think you should be back home by now, so am Wishing you good luck with the interviews tomorrow Flowers !

wavesandsmiles · 01/09/2013 12:35

We are safely home, although yesterday evening I thought we might not make it when my great idea to walk back to Gatwick airport turned into an hour and a half trek in every direction apart from the right one! We all slept very well though, so always a positive. It was such a busy week (unsurprisingly for me) but wonderful to see family and friends, old and new.

Now the joy of unpacking, washing, getting the rooms to let cleaned and all the school things ready. Oh and researching the companies with which I have interviews, cuddling my animals who have missed us a lot, and entertaining the children!

Was lovely to meet you yesterday captain, Caspian certainly enjoyed the cuddles Smile.

I now need to motivate myself to do all these things instead of being flopped on the very warm and sunny patio ...

Great news that you've had such a good visit to the mainland, and that you've had a good holiday - and have SO many interviews lined up!!! Grin

springytufty · 01/09/2013 14:10

Glad you had a lovely week, waves , and I hope a change was as good as a rest? yy turbo-charged, but a change at least Grin

Good luck with the interviews tomorrow, sweetheart Flowers

MissStrawberry · 01/09/2013 18:02

Pleased to hear you are home safely.

AndMiffyWentToSleep · 01/09/2013 18:08

Glad you got home ok.
Good luck with the interviews!

JaxTellerIsAllMine · 01/09/2013 19:39

glad you are home safely, had a fabulous time and tomorrow is your interview day isnt it? Wishing you lots of luck for that. You are an absolute star. Wine Brew

Maybe the laundry/housework fairy will come and sort everything out for you. Rope the kids in to help.

wavesandsmiles · 02/09/2013 11:46

My fairy visited whilst I was away. Lovely lodger from the Bedsit swept the patio and cleaned out the rabbits, and mum, who is being far less toxic at the moment, cleaned and tidied the DCs bedrooms.

One of my interviews is now tomorrow, so just got a couple this afternoon. And just been directly approached about another which looks like an excellent match for me.

Mulling over twunt issues/thoughts too, and trying to work out what led me to that relationship. And the previous disastrous ones. I feel I need to understand that to move on and properly learn from it, and develop as a person if you understand?
