Have just spoken to a friend who lives in Norwich & have arranged to go & stay with her for a couple of days in the summer holidays.
She sepearated from her husband last October, so is very understanding.

Yes, they either brush it all under carpet, or try to threaten me & make me feel like I am being a really bad person.

LW - another w/e down. Well done - it's defintiely harder, isn't it?

H is unbelievable. here he is, now being v sympathetic to you over your parents...but he is the same man who has used tier opinion of you to put you down in front of them, gang up with them against you, basked in thier admiration and boosted his own ego by sucking up their warped opinions.

Great to hear you can get away to norwich - good idea.

Lemmingswife · 25/06/2006 22:47

It is feeling harder, Blu. This w/e has been pretty horrible all in all.
I guess it will get easier one day, but not until he goes & I can get on a bit.
My parents are going to prove another challange, but I will try & keep my distance as much as possible.
Am pleased that I have this w/e in Norwich to look forward to. She is a very sweet friend.

Hi, tyedye.
I have been busy at work this morning, so had no time to get upset. It also helps not having him here when I get home!
Got a dentist appt in a bit, so will pop into solicitors while I am in town.

OP posts:
Lemmingswife · 26/06/2006 12:57

Hope all went well with the agents.

Blu · 26/06/2006 13:12

Good luck with the dentists, LW.
I hope the week is easier than the w/e - it sounds as if you have a good schedule of 'distraction' activities.
I wonder if there is a way to get him to agree to move on Saturday, say?
Has he said any more?

Lemmingswife · 26/06/2006 13:23

He is talking about possibly making the move on Saturday. I hope he does, but I am not 100% confident, as you can imagine!
Was feeling very emotional about everything yesterday, but when he started his " I am texting someone female, but I'm not telling you who, so you know what it was like for me when you spoke in secret on the computer"
I just thought "Oh, just go away!"

I have felt a lot better for being at work this morning & coming back to a H'less house!

You say he "might" move on Saturday. Why the "might"? What is giving him any doubt that it might happen? I suspect he will wait until Saturday and then come up with some excuse as to why he can't go - like friend has gone on holiday and forgotten to give him keys.

Can you pack his things ready for him? Contact friend to get a key organised? Speak to the friend to find out if they have actually arranged something for this weekend or whether H is merely stringing you along only to deliberately let you down on the day?

Blu · 26/06/2006 13:48

That's the spirit, LW - you are SO brilliant! (re his silly

All fingers crossed for Saturday. Could you invite a friend or your sister round? Would be good to have someone with you to share a glass of wine on Saturday night?

Blu · 26/06/2006 13:49

'silly texting'

Lemmingswife · 26/06/2006 15:57

I will help him pack, yes!
Nipped into solicitors after I had been to the dentist. Was told that solicitor had a client & her secretary was not working that afternoon, but I could try phoning at 4.30pm.
Went from there to CAB & got a list of solicitors that deal with divorce in my town. They also told me of two that offer a big reduction for first visits.
Was in a rush today, as had to get back to pick DS1 up from school, but am going to ring them soon & arrange an hour long appt to go through what I may be entitled to.

Have phoned solicitors & made another appointment, but they could not fit me in until the 6th July, which is a week on Thursday.

OP posts:
Lemmingswife · 26/06/2006 17:15

Have not signed the approval of details form re the house sale yet.

OP posts:
spangles · 26/06/2006 17:27

Can you not tell H you will sign the details for estate agents when he has moved out?

Lemmingswife · 26/06/2006 17:29

Good idea, spangles!

OP posts:
Lemmingswife · 26/06/2006 17:35

He came home from work at 3.30pm & is now meeting a friend at the pub.
The boys keep asking where Daddy is.

OP posts:
spangles · 26/06/2006 17:39

I have to say LW i dont envy you having to tell DSs that you are seperating but once they understand you both still love them the same things should be better for you. Are you going to get your locks changed the minute he moves out like I did.

spangles · 26/06/2006 17:42

Also can anyone local reccomend a really good solicitor... you know the sort that will take him to the cleaners. There is always someone who has got divorced and done a lot better than they ever expected to do.
