Warm soapy water will do it if it's not dried, then the next day sort of scuff the carpet round with your foot a bit and it'll be right not that I've ever had to do this, oh no

Bant · 18/06/2013 20:12

Heh. Cute girl has had an emergency phone call. Has to run. Bloke looks depressed. Especially cos it was done so obviously.

Wine turps will do it I think ?

The carpet, not the Nutella fix

I had a few texts from Showbiz on Saturday, telling me that his ex had done something outrageously bad, he was really angry and he was going into his 'man cave' ( rolls eyes ), I sent him a text later saying that I hoped he felt better, no answer and since then nada.

I have ishoos around the going suddenly silent thing, it's a shit way to behave, to ignore someone like that.

And definitely OWW, it would make me suspicious that they had a real controlling agenda.

No don't put turps on emulsion, emulsion is water-soluble and the turps could well react strangely with your carpet especially if it's one with a high man made fibre content. Again not that I'm speaking from bitter experience Turps is for gloss paint emergencies only.

Dd stole and ate a whole jar of Nutella on Sunday neat, no bread or anything. Boke.

KinNora · 18/06/2013 20:16

'Tuppence' Wine -that is such a great term and I've not heard it for ages. Grin

The kids are mad for Nutella, dd is averaging a jar a week.

ALittleStranger · 18/06/2013 20:19

KinNora I agree it's crap, once hands have been down keks you really need to be able to say that you're drawing a line under it, not just go silent.

Question though, after what point is it not acceptable to end it by text?

Bant · 18/06/2013 20:19

I bow to OWWs turps knowledge.. :)

Wine, that book sounds like a date made in heaven but can I get back to you on it?

No, on one occasion Wine I did point out to him that women/mothers ( no generalisation or offence intended) don't usually have the luxury of retreating to a similar 'woman cave' when pissed off.

And if that winds you up, it's a bloody good job you never saw his Italian boat shoes.

That is very odd Nora and you're quite right, what an ingrate. Sharper than a serpent's tooth is an unappreciative beardy. Did he actually tell you what the heinous act was or were you left with your dark imaginings?

Snapespeare · 18/06/2013 20:25

Too much to catch up on, this thread moves fast tonight. :)

Just wanted to welcome the new folk. It's very nice to see you all and I forgot my manners. :)

KinNora · 18/06/2013 20:28

Stranger I did wonder if 'keks' was a bit too regional. Keks/Pants, Face/Genitals , it's crossing a rubicon.

In my love life, having it ended with a text has been a freakin luxury Grin

KinNora · 18/06/2013 20:35

No Western he didn't, but then I never asked anything about the former Mrs Biz.

Wine they were bad, man.
